God I've been working on this for months and it's finally ready to release! Version 0.6.0 of the Gay Fates hack, affectionately known as Flora Emblem. This update adds support conversations between Flora and every single first gen unit minus Yukimura and quite a few second gen ones as well, with a few extra treats. Overall there are 77 support conversations added in this update! Whew. Hope you all enjoy. Also momentarily I'll be posting a side patch which allows Flora to join earlier and thus experience these supports as you play through the game so keep an eye out!

I successfully put this patch into .3ds file to play on citra. However, as I proceed to the conversation, everything goes well until the confession cutscene of that character - the top screen turned white and stopped while the game would still load. I used 0.5.1 version of gay fates and citra nightly build latest version (I'm one of those gamers, who unfortunately have the macs)

Error message from citra:

This is a common problem with Citra, I also have it. There's no solution other than wait until Citra becomes 100% compatible with FEF, but I have some kind of workaround : save before opening the convo(to come back to it more easily), read it till the cutscene crashes, and when it does just relaunch the game, open the convo again and skip it completely(by pressing the key you assigned for the 'Start' button, the default key is the space bar). That way you got to see the convo(but sadly not the cutscene) AND you get to keep playing.
Not the most practical workaround...but it works.

Do you think you can make supports for the dlc character's from deathchaos' and omegablu's patch and also for the amiibo units. I don't know if we have supports for them or not but it's been awhile since this game was released and we still don't properly have supports for these characters. I do understand if you can't do it but it would be amazing if you could.

The custom DLC characters don't have supports enabled on them just yet, aside from strangely enough EoF!Azura and Severa. And it's up to DeathChaos and Omegablu to even add them. I'm sure UV could do something about the amiibo characters, though.

You're better off creating a new save file. New versions of the hack can possibly mess with old save files with supports.

You'll be fine to just update. As I understand it, the reason why the hack messes with vanilla saves is that in order to make space so that new support options can be added, the support tables are moved. This causes pointers in the save to no longer point to the right place, so vanilla saves get messed up. When updating the hack though, the support table hasn't been moved so all the pointers point to where they should.

Tl;dr, updating the hack won't mess with a hacked save, but it does mess with vanilla saves.
