Just plug the nunchuk into the remote before you launch the game. The button assignments and how to switch them are listed in the Nintendont support thread in the opening post.

Games kinda stink using Remote/nunchuk. A classic controller is much better.

They should work straight out of the box. You just have to connect them with a USB cable. The charge-only ones won't work.
yepp your right that worked .. last issue i have now is the games .. i have mario sunshine working renamed " game.iso " but how do i load other games in the same folder .. or do i make separate folders for each game ..? and rename each game in folders " game.iso "

Yep, each games require different folders.

Games/Gamename/game.iso

If you happen to have 2 discs for a game, the second disc has to be renamed to disc2.iso

What are you using as USB storage? Flash drives are pretty hit-or-miss on the Wii and are not recommended.

well it worked when i had one game on the usb but when i put 3 none showed up at all,.. i think i did not put the folders in the correct order .?
He's not kidding.
We've all seen many people go through even more flash drives.
Truthfully, your flash drive's file system has probably corrupted by the intense reading your Wii does with it during USB-loading ISOs. Flash drives were developed for simple storage, where you load some files from it and be done with it.
Your Wii is reading from your ISOs constantly, as fast as your flash drive can do so. This tends to cause peoples' flash drives corrupting and sometimes becoming totally unusable as a result. Your Wii thinks it's a disc.
Discs can handle that sort of thing, but instead you're using a flash drive.
The problem you're having is painfully commonplace among users of flash drives. Just get a USB HDD/SSD if you wish to avoid burning through a bunch of flash drives.

As far as your folders problem goes--you're putting your games in the correct folders if you've previously made it work, so that's not the issue. Trust me, it's your use of a flash drive.

well just to let this end .. i ended up buying a 32 gig SD card for my wii.. could not get the usb way to work & didnt mess with my wii HD as it formatted to WBFS ( wish i knew how to make a 2nd partion on that HD ) and the part where you name each game to game.iso is wrong if your using windows using more than one game .... just rename each game in folders to " game " thats it not game.iso !! or no dice and thats it i have 20 GC games working .. very happy indeed !! could not use the wiimote NC way .. which bugged me out .. until i realized it HAS TO BE A OFFICIAL WIIMOTE mine is a 3rd party one .. so im just using my PS4 pad wired in ... all good MGS the twin snakes already on disk 2 ..( love that game MGS1 was so good on GC ) ...

WBFS partitions are unnecessary nowadays. Loaders can run Wii games from WBFS files from FAT32.

ALL Wii/GC disc-based games should be named the same way:

"/<folder>/Game Title [TitleID]/<discName>"

<folder> - "wbfs" for Wii titles and "games" for Gamecube titles
<discName> - "game.iso" for first (or only) disc of Gamecube titles, "<TitleID>.wbfs" for first or only file of Wii titles. "disc2.iso" for second disc of Gamecube, "<TitleID>.wbf1" for second (overflow) file of Wii games.

All Wii/GC loaders recognize and support that directory/filename format.

yeah i know that .. but i hacked my wii years ago ...lol wbfs was the way then ... and i have 700 gigs of wii games on that hard drive ... & well that is that ... im cool tho i have my favorite GC games on my SD now ... there really was only so many i liked .. but still i have 300 gig left on my wii HD i would have used them if i could oh well such is life... just wondering tho ... im using a ps4 pad .. works fine and all .. but ... the button layout is off just slightly off only the a,b ,y,x is there a way to configure the buttons ? so they are perfect? config file anything like that.....?

You can nondestructively convert WBFS partitions to FAT32. Here is the thread about the converter and a guide for using it if you're interested.

I grabbed the links from Cyan's signature. :)

    Interesting lol

I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.

cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1

When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i don't think nvidia wants to get in the x64 cpu market anyways
