Hacking 3DS 11.5 system update incoming

I thought it was the other way around that you needed arm9 to control the arm11,but once you are in the deepest part of the arm11 then you don't entirely need it anymore, mabe I'm wrong or halve right?
Here is how it works:

3DS System -> Exploit in game -> ARM11 USERLAND ACCESS (Homebrew Launcher) -> New Exploit (not in game but in system itself) -> ARM11 KERNEL ACCESS (ability to install legit signed CIAs like system titles or certain games) -> New Exploit (not in ARM11 but in ARM9) -> ARM9 USERLAND/KERNEL ACCESS (they are so close that once you access ARM9 Userland you have access to both) -> New Exploit (in BootROM) -> B9S

So, if Nintendo patches the ARM11 Kernel access, it doesn't mean they patched ARM9 access, but we need a new kernel. If they patch ARM9 access, it doesn't mean they patched ARM11 kernel exploit. Usually they do them both at the same time, but with 11.X that hasn't happened. we just need an ARM11 Kernel exploit on 11.4/5 to test if we can still access ARM9. If you have further questions PM me so we don't clutter the thread.

Complete BS
Oh really? Then how do you explain the huge amounts of random crashes both in games and in homebrew?
None of which happened before 8.0.
Unless you're suggesting there's some other problem with 8.x that isn't related to Rosalina?

Bad downloads, incorrectly set regions, un-imported seeds, missing tickets, etc.
Of course crashes happened before, they just weren't accompanied by a crash dump that made it easy to blame Luma. I will agree 8.0 was very buggy though, and probably should have cooked a little longer.

Luma had crash dumps before.
I never said that crashes didn't happen before and if that's how you read my post then you must have severely misunderstood.
I just meant that now there are rampant crashes for no good reason that weren't there before and all the clues point towards Rosalina.
8.1 isn't entirely fixed either, but I hear it's better at least. It's still not what I would consider fit for public use.

Perhaps what's going on is that Luma 8.0 and 8.1 are simply less tolerant of badly-programmed software? Not trying to throw shade at anyone specific, considering there's plenty of badly-coded official software, as all the past 3DS exploits have shown ;) If that's the case, then I wouldn't blame Luma (at least not entirely) for more frequent crashes.

EDIT 2: No friends list update either, so it won't require an update to play online?

Miiverse doesn't work without updating. I'd guess the same goes for online play?
I was playing SMM 3DS an hour before I realized that. Either 11.5 was released in that hour, or online play behaves differently than Miiverse.

Yes I have a private copy of ntrboothax and that's how I tested.
Crap, you got my hopes up. I wonder how much longer we'll have to wait...

2.2.0-4U, 4.0.0-7U, and 5.1.0-11U are the only updates listed on Nintendo's official site that don't include "improved stability" in their changelogs. And 1.0.0-0U, if you count that as an update, but it technically doesn't have a changelog, anyway.

Yes it did. It just didn't show up as often.
Now that I did not know... I think I only ever got hangs and blank screens...

Now I'm not saying EVERYONE should update, I'm keeping my non-technical buddy on 7.1 for the time being, but nearly everyone reading should have the ability to update and contribute to the future of 3DS CFW instead of burying their hands in the sand. Blanket warnings to use the legacy build instead of 8.1 because you might have issues are ridiculous.
