On tge guide it tells you to use a legacy version of luma then update. Did you use that? It is before the updating the system section

well yes, I didn't update yet because I don't know what the new version does, and I fear that if I update it I won't be able to use the gateway again(not that I can use it now anyway) but most of the time new versions are no good, I saw somewhere that in order to run gateway you need to have sysnand 9.2 and not above

ok I found the guide thanks. Sadly I can't figure out how to make gateway and luma work together, and I'm still getting the same crashes

right now I am trying to install menuhax (because someone said that with this I can swith to gateway and luma) and for some reason I can't install it

The internet is working properly but it can't download the config file for some reason

You don't, you install .cia

No, with freeshop, you install the .cia directly from nintendo's servers to SD card. You want 16GB+ SD card for the 3DS btw...

You can switch the SD you use for your gateway to the SD for your 3ds

Also because Nintendo was really bad at CDN security.

using 2GB SD card may have caused this issue you were having in the first place?

And yeah you can use 64GB SD card formatted with FAT32 GUI. I think you can also use 128GB SD card, but it causes issues with GBA games

oh, then I guess I don't need gateway after all. Well it would be nice if I could get it to work, I mean I have it inside the homebrew there... its so close to work, but its just freezes.

Well tommorow I will go and get an sd card and test it out

I can understand you might be sentimental about the gateway, but I believe it's inferior to just a 3DS with CFW

I can understand you might be sentimental about the gateway, but I believe it's inferior to just a 3DS with CFW

its not a matter or superiority but convenience
side note, i have cfw and still use my sky3ds . . . true story

I didn't saw the comment until now. Well the problem is that I used a microSD for gateway, and when I use an SD adaptor to mount the microSD it says that it cannot display any content or something like that. the adaptor is unlocked of course. So I guess I can't use an adaptor with this

Gateway won't work on the emuNAND on 11.3 or higher, and if you boot Gateway in sysNAND mode on 11.3 or higher, your b9s installation will be removed and you'll have a stock console (and if you use an N3DS you might brick). It's dangerous to keep using Gateway. What you might want to do though is get it working, then follow https://gbatemp.net/threads/importing-gateway-saves-to-cia-games.425743/ then follow the Move emuNAND page and update, and sell the Gateway card.

well I still have emunand from my gateway, and it hasn't been updated. I think it is 11.2. But yes maybe its better to keep it that way and stop messing around with luma and gateway.

Tommorow I will go to buy a SDCH card and see if its working with the freeshop, I will post here the results.

Hello again people.

Today I bought a new sdhc card and it works fine. At last after so many hours the 3ds is working, I don't know exactly what my 3ds is running or what features I can use but I hope that I will figure them out.

Now the only thing I want now is to move my saves from emunand to sysnand. I played some games on gateway and I want to have the saves to sysnand, any idea on how to do it?
