Hardware About to upgrade 3DS system, what do I need to know?

I am about to upgrade my O3DS 11.4 EUR console with B9S (which I plan to uninstall before selling) to a New 3DS. I assume there shouldn't be any problems with SD cards as I am using a 64GB microSD with an adapter in my current system. Is there anything else I need to know, as long as I buy a New 3DS with 11.3 firmware, install B9S, and update to 11.4? Also, if I find a system with any lower firmware, can I still install B9S through softmod? If anyone is willing to buy here, I could sell it with the power cord + 8GB SD and keep B9S installed for £60 shipped.

If it's unbanned, might want to grab a copy of that local friend code seed first. Never know when it might come in handy...

You should be good to go. As long as you are under 11.4 you can soft mod.
Also @RHOPKINS13 if you are suggesting he take a copy of his friend code seed of his O3DS just in case his new one gets banned is a dick move FYI.

You need to backup the files for your region not delete it.

One more question. Since I already have a lot of CIAs installed, when I get a New 3DS and use that same SD card, will they still remain usable after I install B9S?

No, but if you have enough space on your SD card you can dump them to CIAs and just re-install them with FBI on the new one. Alternatively, you can dump the title keys instead, FBI can install from those as well but it will have to re-download the games. All this can be done with GodMode9.

You can use JKSM to backup your game saves.

Be careful tho; JKSM is not working with the newest Luma because of Rosalina. Since it's a homebrew that needs a target title, it will show the homebrew is not compatible. It's better to wait until they fix that.

Not that i know. It's just wait for Rosalina finally get a bug fix. Or maybe, you can downgrade to old luma versions, but i don't know how to do that.
