Hey guys! Sorry to bother but I have a old 3DS that I recently softmodded using 3ds(dot)guide with b9s and luma3DS cfw, I still have the nand backed up from when the guide told me to (it was originally 11.3 ofw when I softmodded it and I used soundhax) what's the procedure to clean the 3DS from cfw? also should I clear the activity log before unmodding it? I have a cfw'd new 3DS so I wanted this one to be unmodded to avoid the banwave so that I don't run into the risk of losing access to pokemon's online. (also another small problem on that old 3DS is that the circle pad is pretty stiff compared to the past and the new 3DS's circle pad I know it's outside the topic but if someone could help me with solving that too I would really appreciate it) Thanks for your attention!

Don't revert back to OFW, it won't help most likely. All that would happen then is you would be stuck with a banned 3DS that doesn't have any hax, which is the worst of both worlds.

If you're really that paranoid, you can disable internet access until a better method of preventing bans and info tracking is proposed, or you can view the methods we have for preventing sending info here:

Edit: If you really wanted to, ig you could store your original NAND and keep B9S if you wanted, getting rid of B9S doesn't make anything better regardless of if nintendo is collecting data or not.

Or, you can use this to clear your Activity Log:

The answer to your 2nd question is to take a qtip with a little WD-40 and rub it around and under the circle pad (push it to the side and put a dab where the circle pad would be in it's regular position). This should lubricate it. Move the circle pad around for a few minutes to spread it.

It's a very delicate procedure, make sure not to get any where the circle pad sticks to the console.

Thanks for the suggestions guys I've been a bit paranoid about it but guess you are right changing that now doesn't seem likely to change the possibility of getting banned I guess I'll try to just resort to security measures to escape being tracked, I've just been way too paranoid with fear I might lose access to the online of Pokémon SM (which I bought the two versions day one) so I guess I got a bit desperate in search for an escape as I always was used to people telling me cfw on 3ds was safe and wouldn't ban the console but then a banwave coming shocked me :/

I am going to be honest with you. I don't think the banwave even moved past Friday. If your system was marked to be banned, it would have been banned by now.
Just make sure you follow the guides showing you have to prevent getting banning.

It hasn't? That's great thankfully I checked both of my systems and they weren't banned but I was getting too paranoid over it, still gonna take the precautions I really don't want to lose pokemon

I can't say 100% because obviously I don't work for Nintendo, but we are finding less and less reports of bans past Friday.

If you're worried about being banned, just don't use FBI/freeShop/other homebrew. You'll be fine.

Its no use to go back to OFW since I think many users still did it and they still got banned, Nintendo keeps a track of each 3DS and we have no idea how they do it.
Regardless changing to OFW isn't gonna help, if you're concerned about your Pokemon online do what I did before you get banned:

Backup your Pokemon X/Y/OR/AS/SuMo save file(s) first using JKSV
Put your Pokebank Pokemon on your Pokemon X/Y/OR/AS/SuMo boxes and backup that save file, then restore it back online if you want to, they're backed so its ok.
Restore your JKSV backup unless you wanna keep the duplicated Pokemon from Pokebank
