I've a a9lh luma 7.0.5 on a oldxl
At the moment I'm on 11.3 firmware but I would like to update and then downgrade to necessity.
There is a way to do it?
I've a NANDmin.bin backup of when I hacked my 3ds(it was 9.2) and yesterday I've done another NAND backup on 11.3

And I would have other noob questions:

My first NAND backup of when I followed the 3DS guide is that of the version I hacked?(9.2 and not 11.2 I believe)
The new one done on 11.3 is a backup of firmware ,right?
If I restore a NAND backup with Hourglass9 ,then my firmware will change as well?

I did the backups with Hourglass9

I FOLLOWED THE A9LH GUIDE AND THE NAND'S BACKUP IN QUESTION IS THAT OF SYSNAND AND NOT EMUNAND!

Thank you in advance :)

Why do you need to downgrade back to 9.2? I mean, you can restore the NANDmin.bin you made if you want, but why?

The first NAND backup is the one of the version you hacked, yes.

Any NAND backups you make on 11.3 will be backups of 11.3, same goes for all firmwares.

Yes, if you use Hourglass9 (which is outdated now, I'd recommend Godmode9 instead) to restore a NAND backup, that NAND's FW version will be restored as well.

Also, did you upgrade to B9S or A9LH? If the latter, I'd advise upgrading to B9S while you're at it, as the latest Luma updates will only work with that version.

edit: Wait, I dunno if you're actually trying to downgrade to 9.2, sorry.

If you wanna downgrade, you don't have to update, just restore the NAND backup of 9.2 or whatever FW. Though again, I don't see why you would want to downgrade.

1. You don't need to update to downgrade, do whatever you want to do on 11.3 then update to latest
2. Any NAND backup is backing up the same stuff - the firmware and I think installed DSi games.
3. Yes

Yes I know update is not needed but it was only for curiosity.
Me too think NAND's backup copy always the same things, because when I did the backup on my computer I see always"last modify xx/xx/xxxx and is the same data time like the first one.

So if NAND's backup seem like the one I did,if I restore a NAND's backup I'll return to 9.2 or on my attual firmware 11.3?

Or maybe with"same stuff" you mean same things but not the first NAND'S backup also if they have the same data time?XD

I don't want downgrade to 9.2 sorry ,I only thought if the first backup I did was that of 9.2 and the last did on 11.3 was of my attual firmware .
I've a9lh.Thank you I'll do Godmode9 soon.

Another question is:
If I downgrade with NAND's restore I'll lose games/hombrews installed after the backup?
And is safe to do a NAND's backup also on 11.4 firmware?

Please tell me this because I would like to know this

*And if restore the NAND ,the browser internet and the other features of my 3ds will be downgraded or not?

Yes, you will lose the games you installed after the NAND backup, but you can reinstall them if you want. You can also use JKSM to backup save data if you'd like.

And yes, backing up an 11.4 NAND is okay.

You won't lose A9LH, because A9LH isn't written to NAND. If anything, all you'll need to do is re-inject FBI into H&S if the NAND is old enough.

What you did on 3ds.guide to install A9LH, before A9LH became outdated, was just downgrading to get important system files not accessible in later firmwares, which were needed to install A9LH. You didn't actually make changes to the NAND until you already installed A9LH, so it's not locked to the NAND.

And yes, all of the system features will be changed back to how they were when you made the NAND backup. If you were going from 11.3 to 9.2, then yea, you could say they're being downgraded.

A9LH is written to NAND, but if you use GodMode9 "safe" option or Decrypt9 "keep a9lh" option then it ignores writing those parts.
