If you were hoping for developer Ys Net to make another showing of their upcoming entry in the Shenmue series during E3 this year, then things might be looking a little bleak. Today, on their Kickstarter page, they revealed that the game will not be shown at all during E3 2017. The latest update to the game consists of a less than one minute video, that showcases a singular character model. Shenmue III was announced during Sony's press conference, back in 2015, where it raised a record breaking 6.3 million dollars in funding. The game is still set to launch Holiday 2017, for PC and PlayStation 4, despite not making an appearance at E3...

It has been a smart move by Nintendo to showcase and release an HD version of a Zelda game to appease people and calm them during sequel delays, so that strategy just might work.

It doesn't take that long to make a 10 minute video showing what they've achieved in a year's time so far which would be perfect for E3.

Definitely going to be delayed. If not, it'll be a rush job with futile attempts at fixing the shittiness with patches. I really hope they don't fuck this game up, but I have a sinking feeling in my gut and it's not just the greasy pizza I had for lunch.

That may still take time and money away from development, especially if they'd need to allocate resources to make a demo which looks good depending on where development is at.

If they're still at a stage where allot of test textures and animations are being used, I doubt people would be impressed.
