The 3ds would hang on black screen. I have Luma3ds and pressing select loads it up, but it looks weird. http://imgur.com/DjHAUgH

I also have Hourglass9 but it doesn't start when pressing start. I have tried the 3ds recovery mode input but it would stay on a black screen. Any suggestions?

It look like ribbon cable moved inside. Try again loading payloads and hit a. If it loads payload, it is ribbon cable BUT you might also have some missing files on sd. Put it in pc and show us its content. Also what version sys version are you on?

Most payloads does have something on the low screen (logo or legend)
if i were you I would start from point when you can boot to luma and go for boot9strap (3ds.guide)

It looks like everything should work. I would try to start from beginning. Redownload all stuff from 3ds.quide and put it in. If it boots, it is working. If it won't, you have a problem
