Thinking about making a portable PC.

You know those portable consoles, like the WiiBoy for example? I'm wondering, is it possible or easier to do that with a desktop/laptop? Are there smaller boards? If I'm wrong I probably sound like a complete dumbass, so don't call me out for it.

I understand that they have the GPD and Laptops but what if you want to make your own as a project? You could get a keyboard, a pie, a panel, a briefcase, some power source, and a mouse to make a briefcase PC if you really want to for fun

Right, you could make something yourself with a bit of molding, some battery wiring, and a Raspberry Pi. For a full x86 PC you'd probably need contacts in China to fabricate an Atom-based board for your design.
