Could we theoretically have much cleaner/smoother boot animations etc. with the .firm capabilities?

edit: haven't used bootanims in a while so it could be much better since then.

Actually, it looks like the creator of BootAnim9 left, given his profile pic and deleted GitHub.

I could be wrong, though.

By using BootCTR9 instead of boot9anim, you can now use (top screen only) animations through B9S, and yes the animations do seem to run a bit smoother. The boot9anim I had been using had to be the 15fps version so that it would look best and load at a decent speed, but now I can use the 25fps version to load at about the same speed while running a bit smoother, still not perfect but better. It was tough for me to figure out how to get this new way of running boot animations on B9S, but I was eventually able to figure it out and it really is fantastic.
