Gaming Minecraft Switch disappointment..

So I bought it today for the Nintendo switch and it was good I was having fun with it (on tablet mode). But when I decided to dock the switch to play on my 1080p tv and saw that it looks like I'm playing minecraft at 480p.. WTF?!?! it looks worse than it did on the WiiU... is there like a bug or something cuz no way I payed 10 bucks extra for a game that can be bought in a Sony or Microsoft console for 20 bucks and they look like a perfect 1080p. I know the worlds are like 12 times bigger but still it shouldn't be bad enough to reduce the resolution to a low quality just my opinion. I rather play it on tablet mode it looks perfect there.

It's 720p actually, and 4J has confirmed they are looking into fixing this in a future update.

If you're curious, the issue stems from changing the resolution between docked and undocked. So their (hopefully temporary) solution was to just not change the resolution between docked and handheld and keep it at 720p lol. But yeah, they said they're looking into a fix so be patient and enjoy it in handheld mode I suppose.

Gameplay is always way more important than graphics, so what if they're 480p you can still play it, right? Nothing wrong with a new gaming console having 480p graphics.

PC Minecraft renders to your PC's resolution (in fullscreen) - and always has.

And to be clear the Switch is running the game at 720p and not 480p - big difference.

Well bruh it's a 30 dollar game more pricey than the other consoles that have better visuals usually graphics don't matter but in this situation it does

Nintendo is always behind in terms of graphics (Which is fine) but innovation and Gameplay makes up for it. Gameplay is main factor but idk if I'll appreciate playing Minecraft in 480p on Nintendo Switch which is way more powerful than it's predecessor... So Why abandoned that potential?

I admit I do get kinda confused over the graphics vs gameplay debate, but I realize some games need graphics like Assassin creed since it is based around buildings and such.. Games like that merely couldn't just have a touch up or polished look to it. It would need to have a details like no other.

10 bucks for the pc version i think that was fair... it's a cool game you can have plenty of fun on it however it's built on shitty java by a lazy team.. and the stock game looks like shit and gameplay is shit...
i only played it with mods, the vanilla game is crap...

as for consoles.. well.. they are all greedy mofos... 5 bucks would for the console versions would be fair, but yeah, sony and microsoft wants extra 5-10 bucks, while nintendo raises it even more cuz "our games are "premium", you will buy them anyway"

don't worry about it, amish is still a thing apparently..
there is this new era of "game-amish" people who say it doesn't matter if the game is just 1 monochrome pixel as long as you have gameplay...
theese people refuse to understand that when a game really looks amazing, it's something valuable as well...
i am not "ho yeah graphics are the shit" guy, but however, i agree that graphics have an effect.. with all theese technology, why should i be ok with a voxel pixelated game because the developer is lazy and wants to save money\time and put the "retro" bullshit tag
