Folders Issue - Windows 10

I'm getting frustrated and I'm sure there's a simple solution to this problem I'm having...

I have an 128GB SSD and a 1TB HDD in a new laptop I bought.
I installed all my programs etc to the SSD.
Folders relating to the Programs (Like Bitlord, Dolphin Emulator + Others) were also created on C:/
I decided to move the 'My Documents' folder onto the HDD (Properties, Location, Move to D:/) after everything was installed to save space.
I then decided that was a bad idea because the folders each program created would be in the wrong place.

I tried to move the My documents folder back to it's original position in' C:/Users/MikeyTaylorGaming, but instead I have overwritten the MikeyTaylorGaming user folder with 'My Documents'

All my video files, pictures, the actual My Documents are all inside this folder.

The Address of the folder is still 'MikeyTaylorGaming' 'C:/users/MikeyTaylorGaming' but the icon and name are My Documents. Properties will not allow me to rename the folder

How can I change this back?

You dun goofed. That being said, I moved 90% of my user folder to my secondary drive and it works fine, just it was a pain as you have to go into three or so different places to change it.

Try using command prompt to change the folder name,

No idea what you've done at the moment, but to properly change a system folder so that programs put stuff there as usual, go to Properties and do this:

Yeah well really I should have left the Documents folder where it was so that programs that create data in there could continue to do so. Instead I moved it to the HDD, then realised that was the case so moved it back and that's how I ended up with this situation. Read more about it below, my reply to Seriel is a little more detailed

That's what I did, I used properties and Move to move the Documents over to the HDD from the SSD.

I then realised that some programs create data in the documents folder on the drive they're installed to so I decided to move it back over to the SSD again.

Upon moving it back, it overwrote my User Folder name with the Documents Icon and Name, but kept the original address of MikeyTaylorGaming... It's so strange. The User folder now acts as the Documents folder hahaha.

I'm currently reinstalling windows 10 to see if a fresh install of the OS will have any effect. If not I'll have to leave it. I guess it's not too bad.

The only inconvenience is that because my User folder is now 'Documents' it treats it as the documents folder AND the User folder. So any programs that create data in Documents go into the User Folder. It's just gonna be a little messier in there. Urghh.

I'll update tomorrow about the Re-install, whether it worked or not Thanks anyways Dionicio!
