Hacking 11.4 otherapp?

I'm trying to install doodlebomb so I can launch homebrew launcher on 11.4. My friend has 11.3 so he sent me the letter, but to install doodlebomb i need an otherapp.bin with my system version, region etc. I have an old 3ds 11.4.0-37E but there is no otherapp for old 11.4. What do?

Not entirely true.... The 11.2 payloads work fine on an O3DS when renamed to 11.4. You can download one already renamed from here that works just fine.

Yoo, it worked. I also needed to update luma and then homebrew launcher worked perfectly

OFW/CFW is irrelevant when it comes to the homebrew payloads. Only the system version and firmware matters. Except in weird cases where there is no payload available..... Like now. Lol

Hey I am currently trying to solve the same problem. I have Old 3Ds with 11.4. Hoping to use Doodle bomb to run Homebrew, just wondering do I need to rename the newly renamed file "OLD-11-4-0-37-E.bin" to otherapp.bin again? and should this file be in the doodlebomb folder on the root of my SD?

you can only us 11.2 payload if you already have lumacfw/a9lh.

otherwise you are stuck.

I've just updated my Luma3DS-A9LH setup to 11.4, and I'm also running into issues with the HBL loader.

First, I updated to Luma3ds 7.0.2, then updated to 11.4, but when I try to load HBL, I get the following:

That worked. Thank you. Not sure why my attempt to rename the 11.3 payload failed and caused a restart error.

the 11.3 payload is unstable on luma 11.4
the 11.2 payload is fine.

It's still an exception considering it has noting to do with the updates per se, but everything to do with Smealum's priority for the N3DS over the O3DS. The payloads ALWAYS come, he just doesn't push them in tandem anymore. So technically it's a moot argument anyway, as new payloads have always been released sooner or later.
