Didn't work still says error, I think it's trying to update it but it can't for some reason.

Still shows an error. I'm guessing the error has something to do with my old3ds being on 11.4, but I got the all clear.

In that case, you will have to either download the 11.2 payload for your region and rename it properly or follow this guide which has a .zip file containing the 11.2 payloads already renamed to 11.4. Note that you must be on Luma 7.0 or later for this to work, it will not work on 6.6.
