I was cleaning and found a R4i-SDHC 3DS card that I bought at a yard sale a year ago. I'm currently on Luma and 11.3-36U

I downloaded the firmware from here: https://www.r43ds.org/pages/R4-3DS-Firmware.html

Formatted the 16GB MicroSD to FAT32 32kb

Moved the 100MB of files over.

Every time I try to load up the card I get a red outline of a microsd card with "? menu"

Tried 2 different firmwares: V1.82b 2016-16-05 & (further down the page) where it says:
The last version of the R4i 3DS Unlimited Upgradeable version. It supports All Nintendo DS, Nintendo DS Lite systems. It also has support for Nintendo DSi and DSi XL systems up to version 1.4.4

It does offer better support for microSD Cards than the original R4 DS and can use microSD cards up to 16GB in size offering up plenty of space for your games, movies, music, homebrew, apps, games and more.

Download the latest firmware

Am I doing something wrong?

Worked perfectly, thanks for the help! Didn't realize the site I was on wasn't the official one, I guess if I had taken 2 seconds to read the front of my card I would have haha
Glad to know it worked. I did own one of those card, so I knew it was just a matter of getting the appropriate files from the official source :P
