Can you update a European game on a North American console with Mocha?

I want to update Breath Of The Wild EU version on my NA console but couldn't find any info on updating out of region games. I thought it may possibly try to install the update from the wrong region and break something.

You can always using Wii U USB Helper to download updates and install them. I've never tried to update an out-of-region game directly from the Wii U before.

I tried getting USB Helper from the link but it took me to a really shady website that locked up my browser with one of those call this number to get rid of a virus pop ups.

That is why I figured a direct update might be easier if it works.

If those kinds of ads become a hinderance to your online browsing, perhaps you should install an adblocker.

I actually have an ad blocker on my browser plus a DNS ad blocker and still got the fake virus browser hijacker. That's a pretty huge red flag when you are about to download and install a program to your PC!

You can't blame Wii U USB Helper or any other software for what the filehoster or URL shortener advertises before you even download the software. I suggest you use a better adblocker.

Not blaming USB Helper at all, never did at any point. Simply wanted to know if you can update a EU game on a NA console and explained why I didn't use your suggested method.

Ad blockers don't get 100 percent of ads, especially malicious ones. I also don't really trust a file hosting site that allows such malicious content in the first place.

What's with the negativity anyhow?

If you're seeing the ads you described when specifically trying to download Wii U USB Helper, then your adblocker is insufficient. Wii U USB Helper is highly recommended, and it's shame if you gave up on using it because you don't know how to browse effectively.

You are aware that no ad blocker is 100 percent effective right?

As of this post, all ads between here and the successful download of Wii U USB Helper are blocked by effective adblocking software. Regardless, a stray ad shouldn't keep you from using the program.

Can you tell me the name of the programs actual exe file? I tried getting it last weekend and I believe it was just a generic name like program.exe or something like that. The generic exe name and the fake virus combo was why I didn't get it.

I will give it another try.
