Stylus? You can buy them for like $5. It doesn't need to be Nintendo-certified to work.

Virtual Console is coming. Background music is not necessary. TVii was a service that so few people used. Miiverse could very well happen.. Just wait.

Youre upset about the stylus? Why? Also, you can buy a capacitive stylus for cheap. There's no issue here.

I can see why he's upset. Not everyone likes touching screens with their fingers, leaving nasty fingerprints all over. Styluses are also far more accurate for input and thusfore often better for operating a device like this.

I'm also a "Stylus peasant" so it's kinda sad that Nintendo didn't include a stylus to a touchscreen device...
I can feel how @OP's feeling... partially.

Its because the switch uses a capacitive screen vs the resistive screens of 3DS and WiiU. While they do make stylus for capacitive screens, you don't really need it as much and works just as well with a finger. Not to mention stylus are kinda "out of style" for lack of a better phrase, and Nintendo wanted to go in a fresh direction with the switch.

I will miss the TV function of WiiU though. I didn't use the TVi software, but having the remote built in came in handy a lot.

I think by background music, he means a music player, which I myself do not understand why they removed. I would love to listen to music on my Switch, and Nintendo could even have some sort of store where you can purchase digital music and download it onto your Switch.

I don't think any game has been released which strictly requires the use of the touchscreen. World of Goo in portable mode I guess. People obviously don't care about using their fingers for smartphones...get some lens wipes in bulk and it's never an issue.

Saying you can wipe fingerprints off afterwards so it's a non-issue is like saying you should be able to just go into any home with mudded boots, because the mud can be later wiped off, too.

That's not the point. The point is that it annoys people in the first place.

Not a great analogy since using a lens cloth to clean a device takes literally five to ten seconds, whereas cleaning off boots can take up to thirty minutes and might not even be fully clean at that point.

Do these people that it annoys so much not own smartphones?

Scale up the switch's screen to room size and the analogy will suddenly become accurate, though. People just like their shit clean.
