It would be cool if they allowed you to use generic $10 xbox style controllers.
The pro controller looks like an xbox controller IMO.
A person could easily get a 6-8ft usb extension and a usb controller and save 55 bucks.
I doubt they will allow this though.
The joy cons in the grip are also almost exactly the same angle/dimensions as an XB1 controller (a little wider). Only real difference is stick placement.

Ah gotcha. At least it's not Australia pricing, right? xD

Hopefully CEMU has better performance by then for you poor souls willing to brave the Wii U version. :yayswitch:
Oh! Thx for the CEMU reminder... I have a good PC, so i think i play the game on my Computer...(When it dosen't have problems...)

i aint gonna say anything till i hold one, that said i have never held a hori pad that was better in quality then an official controller...... I might one for noobs to play multiplayer. There was one controller that is better then an official controller and thats the snes ascii pad. Been using that for 23 years... It was not made by Hori btw. Best d-pad is snes hands down.

1. Do you really need wireless controller on the go?
2. Do you wanna suffer battery loss on the go?
1- yes. Spoiled for years with wireless, it's hard to go back on newest consoles :p
2- it's not going to be a problem, honestly

Also, I don't know is this post sounded like I was whining about it, but I swear I was not, haha

I don't like the look of that hori controller, I'll stick with the official pro controller for now. It's pretty much identical to my xbox one controller I use for pc. I can't really tell the difference when holding them other than the triggers. No complains on the official pro controller.

Hori has disappointed me on the Switch case I bought...

i caved in and got a pro con from big w yesterday for $85 (yeah i know)
but glad i did it's so much better playing Zelda with it! AND no more putting the death grip on the tablet in the dock so it won't move while i yank the joycons out/put them back in :P
why do i have to put the death grip on the tablet while it's in the dock? GUESS!

My next accessory will be the pro controller. It does have the gyro/accelerometer right?

The pro controller gives me a nintendo joygasm.

I would prefer an official wired Pro Controller if Nintendo decides to make one without NFC too since the Joy Cons already have that function.

So an official wired Pro Controller without Bluetooth,NFC and battery for cheaper price tag would be my ideal choice, less input lag and no charging needed.

LOL...I play on a monitor so I'm only only about 3 feet away from the monitor and perhaps two feet away from the console dock.

$90 Canadian for Pro Controller kinda hurts my wallet, $50 for an official wired one would make me happier camper.

Unfortunately, the Hori Pro Controller seems to have been delayed as retailers (especially Amazon) don't have it up for sale/pre-order. Hori's Pro Controller obviously is lacking the technology of the Joy-Cons/Pro Controller but it's also a lot cheaper.

Maybe the WiiU Pro Controller will eventually be compatible with the Switch.

you bet i use it to aim my bow!
I love aiming the bow on the SPC with motion controls. :)
