Nintendo wants money. And they will take it from you, using all the tools available.

Though the switch pro controller has new features.

UPDATE, works with my android. :D

I saw a post on reddit where someone had Joyless Cons connected to a PC.
I tried it on my android, it works, although it either has lag or connection problems but it does make inputs and sync no problem. So i'm kinda happy, if the switch game pad also works with android, i'll maybe buy one when the price goes down. :D

JoyCons are detected as 2 separate controllers, Pro Controller is detected as one single unit, they all work with PCs, and apparently work with Steam.

I've noticed that the Joy-Con controllers have an odd axis mapping when used on a PC. The thumbstick is mapped to axes 4 and 5, and it acts like a D-pad; the axes only show centered or extreme positions. I suspect there's some HID quirks that need to be enabled for analog readout as well as motion detection, not to mention NFC and the IR camera on the Joy-Con R.

Greetings guys. I own a Nintendo WiiU, and I want to know if the switch pro controller is retocompatible with Wii U. I'm interested to know because I could run with Nintendont.

If the Switch Pro controller supports USB HID, then yes, it'll work with Nintendont.

If it only uses USB for charging (like the Wii U Pro controller), then no, it won't. Nintendont doesn't support Bluetooth HID controllers.

You can scan amiibos with it. And it has a a motion sensor. At least new to these kind of controllers. :-)

I will use the cone of shame, but first, I would like to know if they have tried it with Nintendont
Remember that some have tried it with emulators with a pc and it works
