is those 2 millions world wide or just the US? My localstores still say you can pre-order. None so far have said it's fully pre-orded. (My flag say it all)
According to Nintendo, 2 million worldwide. Although I wouldn't be at all surprised if that number has gone up since they stated that.

Still thats a loads of system for preorders. The PS4 sold 1 million units on launch day, and that was at the Christmas season!

--- Really tempted to do this, just not sure if it'll be £198 afterwards, gameseek have a lower reputation, really thinking about it tho, any ideas?

since i do not own a Wii, my Wii U plays wii/ngc/vc's and wii u games ofcourse XD
...Wow... That realization just slapped me in the face that the Wii U is more valuable than I once thought. I knew that the Wii U can essentially play GC titles with Nintendon't, Wii games natively, and VC titles, but I never thought about it's value... It's much more than I thought it was until now...

It's a lot less valuable when you consider a hacked Wii can play 2/3 of those libraries and costs like $40.

you're right.. and most WiiU games will have re-releases/remasters/remakes for the Switch so in the end, in my opinion, only the Wii (which is now $40) is worth keeping..

I'm waiting, mostly on principal. I bought the 3DS when it first came out in 2010, about 6 months later they reduced the price by almost $100. Ok so that likely wont happen again no, at least not that drastic and not that fast, but well, that's not the point. I was left feeling slightly abused. Sure I got the ambassador games, and that did help me feel a little better at the time for sure I'll admit, but not $100 better, not for some games that were chosen for me, and for games I already played before several times. I didn't buy the 3DS for old nintendo/gba games.

Then, the Nintendo fanboy I am, I bought the WiiU when it first came out in 2012, for mostly one reason: there would someday be at least ONE exclusive and original Zelda game, and I'd need the WiiU to play it. That alone made it worth it, so I didn't mind buying and waiting, and when it came out I'd be ready. 5 years later we know that will never happen, Breath of the Wild is not Wii U exclusive (I don't count the HD remakes as exclusives) and I'll also have to play Breath of the Wild on the WiiU knowing that it plays a bit better on the Switch. You could compare it to Twilight Princess (being dual released on GC and Wii), but at least Gamecube had Wind Waker first.

I'll buy the switch eventually, because Nintendo has almost all my favorite franchises, but yeah I'll be waiting for the price drop this time, because oh I've been burned before!

Over here in UK its £198, I just don't know if it'll get any cheaper

That may or may not be true, but you will likely have to pay full price for them and Wii hardware with GC controller support is getting old.

Is anyone else here considering the Gameseek deal, suprised people are not all flocking to this one
Also, who here is getting a coloured joycon?
You spelled color wrong. /jk
I really don't care about the joyless con colours, at home we will likely use the pro controller unless features of the joyless cons are needed and when out and about I probably get those rubber covers for them.

If you are a cheapskate like me then wait a year and buy one used. It may save you 100$ and have a game with it too.
