I have extracted my CTRNAND, and copied some applications from /titles. How do I convert them to CIA, or at least decrypt them?

Why would you decrypt/convert them when you can download them with 3DNUS and install them with sysupdater? 3DNUS will download the system titles as CIAs already for you to install or decrypt or do whatever you're trying to do with them.

Also, I'm not your mom but if you don't know how to use Decrypt9 you probably shouldn't be messing around with your NAND. A9LH or not, you can brick if you mess something up with these system titles. So at least get a backup of your sysNAND first if you don't have one.

3DNUS always freezes whenever I use it, I know how to use decrypt9, just not for the raw files from the nand. I've got 2 or 3 backups of my sysnand. I'm not trying to edit them, just to convert them to CIAs.

Maybe try a different version of NUS? I've had it crash most of the time too, but I found a build that actually works.

The release description for the first version of D9 with files-to-cia support outright says not to use it for internal storage apps, and it recommends the appropriate tool...

OP according to the readme, all the NAND partition dumps are decrypted when they are dumped. So um, just dump them then convert them to CIAs or use 3DNUS like I said. AFAIK, those are the only ways to get what you want unless you use EFE on a decrypted full NAND dump, but that would really be working harder vs smarter.

But if it decrypts the entire partition, it decrypts the titles within it that can be extracted....
Well, once installed they have the 1st layer of encryption removed (equivalent to cia decryptor - shallow), but they're not cryptofixed (in fact you must encrypt system titles before installing hacked versions of them!)

Yeah, but he never said he was trying to edit them to reinstall them. He just wanted to extract the titles and make CIAs for whatever reason. Although I still see no point in doing it this way when you'd save time just trying all the different versions of NUS until one worked. IMO that's the easiest way to get what you want and they are already dumped as CIAs that you can decrypt/extract with D9.

I guess I should have posted a screenshot of what I have.

(Yes I can run windows on my computer as well)

EDIT: I managed to convert them to cia files, but I can't decrypt them. Even with Decrypt 9

EDIT 2: Well, I'm an idiot. They were .ncch filed disguised as .app files. I'm able to extract them.
