Hello! Sorry about bothering this forum again, I try not to make threads unless I really need it.

I have bought a DVI cable and I have finally got it in the mail. I have installed it into my graphics card, then plugged it in to my monitor. I go into the device manager, and it isn't there still. It only shows my integrated graphics. Hardware monitor doesn't pick it up either.

I have the latest drivers installed. I also have tried to go into the BIOS and look for an option to change my primary graphics, it was a no go.

I have also looked at it's seating, the light comes on and the power cables are all properly seated.

May I please have some help on this issue?

Thanks!

No. I will try that, just go into the device manager and right-click it to delete the drivers, correct?
no, you do it like you uninstall any standard software, in the software part of control panel

if it doesn't show up there, then yes. or use DDU

did you install the card right AND connection ALL the cables needed and dose your power supply give the right power needed
Yes, the power light comes on.

The card is seated properly, my card only needs 300 watts of power, about 400 watts with all my other components included. My power supply is 600 watts, so I am sure they are getting enough power.

How are you even getting a display if the graphics card isnt detected?
Did you unhook the VGA cable from the motherboard?

Its probably a faulty device, RMA your graphics card. It happens. It's not an AMD or Nvidia thing, you were just unlucky.
Yea, I'll do that.

The CPU has it's own graphics.

Do you have the monitor connected to the motherboard or GPU. If it's connected to the motherboard, it runs off integrated graphics, if it's connected to the GPU, then it wouldn't display if the GPU doesn't work.
I connected it to my GPU. It didn't detect it, so I put it into my CPU.

what motherboard and graphics card do you have? do not RMA just yet.
MSI H110-M. Sapphire Radeon RX470.

You shouldnt be getting any video then, did you disconnect the VGA cable and switch the video source on your monitor to DVI?

I have 2 cords. one is VGA, and 1 is DVI.

The VGA is connected to my motherboard, the DVI is connected to my graphics card, both is connected to the monitor.

If I unplug my motherboard (VGA), it gives me no video. When it is connected, it doesn't show the graphics card.

That is my problem, my computer doesn't recognize my graphics card, even though all the connectors are plugged in.

I have downloaded the latest drivers, as well.

I think I'm going to RMA it.

Before you do that reboot the pc and go into the bios, in the options there should be a setting to disable on board video
