Assuming OP knows that, it *is* called NTR CFW still because the creator was probs on crack when naming it lol

Technically because it uses arm9 to patch certain system files and calls just like Luma. Luma isn't really a cfw either, just a patch over existing firmware. NTR isn't a cfw for the same reasons, but they work similarly. Also, arm9 was the main DS processor, and the DS codename was NTR.

Got it? Good.

Drugs tend to help me sometimes when I put stuff together, I wouldn't blame him xD It was moreso a joke
I was just saying that the program itself has CFW in the title lol

Wow, I'd have never guessed you do drugs; let's drink caffine mixed with alcohol together and eat turkey sandwiches. With drugs.

I gues it's 'CFW' because it's like an overlay on other CFW....but what would you even call that? Inception firmware?

Isn't anything that kind of patch the system a "custom" modification? in this case they modify the firmware. So I think it qualify. A true CFW is probably the next step with Sighax.

You know that you described the samething? :P
A customized firmware would mean that it's a small modification over something already existing, as in Nintendo's existing 3DS firmware. Luma3DS is a set of customized firmware patches, not a custom firmware.

A custom firmware would mean that everything is created by a third part, from scratch. Instead of bits and pieces going over existing firmware.

I know :) That's what I described before.

So you can't call it custom firmware, you can't call it franken firmware...bridal gowns? It goes over something and it basically 'marries' firmware.
Recombinant firmware?
Jello pudding minus rapesby?
