there is no link, i compiled it myself. Also it does NOT work if you try anything at all "complex". I simply wanted to add 20-30 games + retroarch and 10-15 games - LED wont go off... it has bugs that need working out.

Relax Man! Cluster must have you hakchi2 folder to analysed it, give him some time. Please use your time to test more things, to watch Netflix...or this video to make FDS games works on RetroArch than doesn't works on mini nes classic default emulator...
Like Riddle of Murasame Castle or Otocky

Please, enjoy!

You know that you can use .zip files? Also for SNES NES or I believe all cores.

Retroarch folder is just very huge...
When there are many games hakchi2 splitting them into several transfers. Maximum transfer size - 40MB. But RetroArch folder is 60MB and hakchi2 can't split it :(
It's possible to rewrite split functions but what the point? It's possible to install RetroArch and use instead of default emulator.
yeah, that was my thoughts. Better use retroarch for just Nes games that the main emulator can't run. Thanks for all your work @Cluster im trying the github folders new thing, working like a charm!

if max transfer is 40MB, how would ever get to a point where retroarch is your primary emu for NES and other systems? Would require brand new processing of files. @Cluster why do you say "whats the point? the point is LOTS of ppl want NES Mini as their default NES emulator and then retroarch on the side to emulate other consoles. That is near impossible to pull off.

Also, if retroarch is the only "rom" but there are 60-70MB worth of NES/SNES/ETC roms in the RetroArch folder... how would it be broken up in order to flash properly?

Because It'll using like NES games, and hakchi2 folders can handle them. ;)

I think the NES mini should stay running just NES games. We can emulate other systems on so many other devices. I'll stick to just NES games. I am more interested in custom folders and icons.

Just install it once and run instead of original emulator...

You understand me wrong. I mean that method to select and start game from RetroArch shell is not good. It's better to install games in separate folders and start them with RetroArch using original shell.

Hi, thanks for this program. I do have some question about it. I got a mini nes and it works easily on mine but tonight I tried to hack a friend's mini nes but it didnt work. Any ideas what happens ?

I dump the kernel, add the games. Look like it was working but we open the mini nes there was no games uploaded in it ... Very weird

The only think I have to say about my friend's mini nes is that its an europe version ? Could this be an issue ?

If someone could help me it will be cool. Thanks a lot

It would be great if Hakchi2 could handle the roms for other systems, ask you what core to use and generate the .desktop with the appropriate exec= changes to launch the roms directly in the right core and copy over whatever retroarch cores the user is using. You have other problems then like getting the unique identifiers for the games for the folder structure and organising bigger lists etc

Save states will still be a problem and arcade roms tend to be a nuisance when it comes to needing custom configurations too, but the likes of the Gameboy/Colour, Master System, Turbo Grafx 16, SNES and Mega Drive should all be fine (though SNES and Mega Drive will need a controller with more buttons).

All that can come later, the emulators might get tweaked a little to mesh better with the NES Classics frontend, but that sort of setup would save just loading up the RetroArch folder full of ROMs.
