His story doesn't really add up.. He was able to get a n3DS instantly for the same price as his? I don't know, but it seems like he's just a Gateway hater that's trying to spread false news. This is not true. I launched the Gateway payload just yesterday, it only gets stuck on a blackscreen, because GW is not compatible with 11.3 for now (just like rxTools f.e.). I just launched Luma3DS and everything worked and I still have A9LH. When you think about it, it doesn't make any sense - why should the GW payload "destroy" a9lh? smh
Do you have emuNAND?same here i updated using luma, boot gateway payload and BOOM a9lh destroyed
Ok, that's the problem. Since Gateway doesn't patch firm0/firm1 (idk which one exactly) Nintendo must've overwrote firm0/firm1 when the payload was booted.
noYou updated in GW mode on sysnand? You're currently SOL.
Time to get a hardmod, and restore a NAND backup. Then make a 11.2 emuNAND for Gateway only, since Gateway isn't safe to use on sysNAND.

No, a NAND restore would restore him to what his 3DS was like when he created the back up. What you're thinking about is the minimum nativefirm requires to boot, which killed downgrading with hardmod/dsiware.He may be fucked, since 11.3 stops hardmod downgrading IIRC
yeah yeah i'm totally a gateway hater, that's why i kept it on my desk and wait for better answers than thatHis story doesn't really add up.. He was able to get a n3DS instantly for the same price as his? I don't know, but it seems like he's just a Gateway hater that's trying to spread false news.

nope a second user who had the problem could restore his 11.2 a9hled sysnand with harmodHe may be fucked, since 11.3 stops hardmod downgrading IIRC
i have to ask why would anyone use a gateway on a modded 3ds to begin with i just don't understand ;p

Ok, sorry. I thought you were lying since you go out and sell + buy a n3DS the same day without any issues, and I was able to test GW on 11.3 and didn't run into this issue. But then when @TheGreek Boy confirmed it, I then figured out that it's because of Gateway sysNAND, where I have emuNAND.yeah yeah i'm totally a gateway hater, that's why i kept it on my desk and wait for better answers than that
instead of saying shit like this try to be helpful.
and yeah i had the chance to sell my "no more a9hled O3ds 120€ and find a brand new3ds xl for 130€
want proofs?
anyway from what i read on my reddit thread it doesn't seem to affect n3ds but i won't try without hardmod

i was on sysnand luma tooOk, sorry. I thought you were lying since you go out and sell + buy a n3DS the same day without any issues, and I was able to test GW on 11.3 and didn't run into this issue. Its sysNAND only. Regardless if you have an old3DS or new3DS, if you launch Gateway's arm9loaderhax payload to boot Gateway CFW 11.3 sysNAND, Nintendo must've added a firm0/firm1 restore function for when you boot your 3DS, so since Gateway doesn't patch that, Nintendo can overwrite it to remove A9LH.i was on sysnand luma too
so we still don't know if it's o3ds only...
