Homebrew dosbox windows 3.1 3ds

i know you can run windows via dos box on a ds using flash cart but is there any for the 3ds as it would make it a lot more easy to run games

you can't use vm or wine on a 3ds as far as i know plus i would rather use it on my 3ds as it portable

you do the same thing for 3ds as you would for ds dosbox is the same :/ if it doesnt have keyboard input just put the commands in an autoexec.bat

to answer your question.

yes you can startup w95 on 3ds, no the 3ds isnt powerfull enough to make it quick..

also the dosbox for 3ds isnt very wel developed(no virtual keyboard or whatsoever)

now when you try to run dos games , its pretty hard setting it up, especially when it needs disc readings.....


i have hasseled with the game "rama" for dos, after some long time fiddling with it i got it to work. but the 3ds is just waaaay underpowered for that kind of emulation..


sooo long story short, dont do or try it. its not worth it

never used dosbox on the DS, but really i tried some hours to get dosbox running on a good speed. but its just not capable... i think due to limited development.... the game loads but is laggy as shit. like 3-8 fps?? dont even mind the sound fuckup lol


there isnt even a good article about the dosbox on 3ds , thats why i had a hard time getting the games too open

I think you may be confusing dosbox for the ds with dsx86.
