(my brain is having a major dumb atm so bear with me)

ONLY entry point I have to my n3ds is SuperMysterychunx.

I couldn't wrap my brain around soundhax very well, so yea...

Wait on updating til someone can check it or...?

My o3ds is on 9.2 with 11.2 accessible via menuhax (I THINK that's how it works??)

I used my o3ds to update and do the SuperMysterychunx, so I'm a basket of confusion atm.

Sound hax is a exploit using a audio file in the 3ds sound app that enables homebrew. :P

Luma also patches out the downgrade checks added in 11.0 which allows downgrading to 9.2, 2.1, or whatever from firmware 11.x. Check the Luma source for patchTitleInstallMinVersionChecks .

And yes, I downgraded the emunand from 11.1 to 10.3 on my main a9lh system (back when it looked like BootNTR wasn't going to be updated) so I know it works. That is assuming 11.3 didn't break the anti-dg patches.
That's more for choosing to use a different nfirm via firmware.bin [patched in 11.3 afaik] or emunand.

In this case the dg check is removed in the a9lh install. If you're running a9lh you're using 10.4 nfirms iirc - i.e. no dg check from 11.x - and the nfirms are protected by luma3ds

Remember the smugness and confidence on that hacking conference?

Yeah, me too.

Well, at least being on a9hl luma i'm out of danger.

Uhm....explain? I've not been sleeping well. Mom got diagnosed with 2 forms of cancer so I'm just barely fumbling through life atm.
Is a audio file, you download the audio file, put it on the sd card, open 3DS sound and play the audio file, it loads homebrew. Is a exploit that loads homebrew using a audio file in 3DS sound.:ninja:
One of the many ways to load homebrew from firmware between 9.0.0 - 11.2.0

It would be funny to see a9lh patched then every ones screwed. All they have to do is get around luma's firm protection and the update overwriting a9lh.

I understand A9LH + Luma3D is safe for update but I also read that the Homebrew Launcher doesn't work anymore. Does this affect the FBI app (that we use directly from 3ds menu) and can we still install and play 3ds games through cia's ?

According to Flashmanx on a different forum (hopefully this helps people too nervous to update):

alright
I guess after following the guide means I'm on luma 6.6. I went ahead and did the update.
now I'm on 11.3. All the emulators still work. I loaded chmm2 and changd my custom themes and they still work.
I tried bunch of games I loaded through cia and free shop and they all work. Luma still works. Freeshop still works I succesfully downloaded and played a game. while I don't have a cia I can install without making room on my sd card fbi loaded so I assume it works. homebrew launcher does not work. I don't think I really need it anyway.
