Lost access to my account

I was hoping to PM an admin but it seems I can't do that yet. I lost access to my account (@nxwing) around January 12-13. I had recently enabled 2FA on my account back then and I didn't really encounter any issues. I had my account logged out on all my devices except on my phone which had Google Authenticator. I did a factory reset on that phone and well, everything was wiped out. I installed Authenticator again but then it didn't show any code for GBAtemp. I had hoped it would be synced with my account but apparently I was wrong. I tried resetting my password but it didn't remove 2FA which I thought it would do. I also tried using the Contact Us option at the bottom of the page 2 times but I didn't get any email back. I was hoping if you could remove 2FA and then delete or then merge this account with my main account (nxwing)

well this sucks, have you tried PMing one of the mods to help you ?

In the future, keep backup codes in a safe location and also enable email verification with the app verification.

But, the best you can do is contact a mod.

I tried contacting mods and admins when this happened to me. They all read my PM's but never replied, so I made a new account (this). Eventually I got in contact with one and I got in a long conversation with one of them about how I am never allowed to make dupes and had to thoroughly explain why it was justified.

Your best bet might be using a new account unless they contact you

My suggestion is to go to the irc and ask the mods personally. This would have been a better idea than creating a new account.

Well that's if any of the mods are on. The times i'm on irc even at some of the busiest times I never see them active. Maybe i'm wrong.

They're usually on, but don't talk much. If you mention them by name though - they will be more likely to respond. Costello's on a lot at night (morning for him as he's in China).

The IRC is awesome because you can have a normal conversation with the mods, and sometimes Smea comes on too.
