Hacking (Multiple Questions) PS3 CFW

So I talked about this awhile back, but never really got involved in the PS3 hacking scene becuase I didn't want to run the risk of downgrading through a hardmod with E3 Flasher on a semi-rare PS3 model. (White PS3 Super Slim with that PS3 plus benifit for one year.)

So I saw this Guide in my spare time looking on how to jailbreak a PS3, http://customjailbreak.com/ps3-jailbreak/ in short the guide explains that you can downgrade a PS3 on the current latest FW (4.81) The PS3 is tricked VIA manual install to install a new update to the PS3, once the update is accepted, the PS3 is downgraded to 3.55 CFW and it becomes officially jailbroken.

I was wondering if their was a way to be on the 3.55 CFW, and still be able to play online & use PS3 features, along with unbaning the console as well to keep returning online, and bypass the bans.

Also I have used the PS3 with a lot of my family, and we have many users on their on PSN. Is their a way to remove the other ID's on the PS3 (if incase the PS3 is banned.) I don't want them to be effected from something I did.

All "guides" and websites telling you that you can downgrade from latest OFW down to 3.55 via software only are completely fake.
Also, that White Super Slim you talk of cannot be modded. You can only mod slims and phat model PS3s.

The only simplest way if you are above 3.55 OFW is with an E3 flasher (again, phats and slims only), or by flogging your current PS3 for a phat or slim on 3.55 or below, or for a pre-modded one (I did that, got a pre-modded Slim from ebay for a very fair price of £120.)

Yeah, you can still go online and do all the stuff you could on OFW, but be aware you will be putting yourself at a fairly-high risk of a ban if you do not follow the correct procedures to hide your CFW installation (e.g. disabling CFW syscalls temporarily, using PS Ninja, etc.).
If you do happen to get banned, you usually can't unban the console without replacing the CID/IDPS (Console ID) with a fresh, not-banned CID, which will grant you access again to PSN. But these usually cost money if you want a private one that won't be used by any other users, or banned within mere minutes, and I'm honestly not sure if it's worth the money or not anyway... someone who has bought one before could fill you in there.

Thank you for pointing that out, I have a tendency to trust most (almost any sources) for hacking, since I normally only hack Nintendo products, I never really knew people would go scam people through a "fake hack" or jailbreak,
We actually have three PS3's (yeah three PS3's, kind of embaracing) A fat PS3, and slim PS3 which just died due to overheating or something from installing an update from a game, and mine which is mostly in good condition. Its kind of being held hostage so we can watch TV in the front room so . I kind of wanted to take advantage of it, and try getting the other ones repaired, but I don't have the time or money to repair it, or contact Sony. (Since the fix would probably cost up to a few $100 dollars)

I was thinking just buying a used PS3 (fat or slim that's compatible) and E3 Flash it so I can backup my games on the PS3's hard drive. But I am worried that I may have to get into soldering (which I have never actually done before) should I look out for anything when buying a used console, like how the hardware of the console is doing, or the PSN ID's it has on the consoles? Sorry I know its kind of a nooby question but I would like to get the correct facts before actually diving into the actual process.
