There may be a corrupt file messing things up for you. We're ruling that out by having you:
-backup all the files of your current sd card to your computer so they're safe
-format sd card
-re-download the appropriate files (the files in the guide and/or given here by other members)
-put the newly downloaded files in the right places on the newly formatted sd card
-go to that website on 3ds to try and install a9lh again

Basically, we're trying to rule out the files being messed up. It happens from time to time.
Is it okay if i put the backup back on the SD Card and then put everything in the right place?

I have tried everything! Still doesn't work! I have the worst luck! I appreciate the help, but none of it is working! Should i actually upload my SD Card on MEGA? :hateit:

i checked and all looks good to me .not sure whats wrong, only thing I can say turn off and try reseating the battery. check if its loose or something.
At one point it actually fell off! xD
So that's not the problem..
Well i guess i will wait until someone finds what's wrong.. :shit::shit::shit:

Turn off antivirus. What are you using to unzip files? Update winrar or download 7z redownload everything and make sure it's all in the right place. I had issues with an outdated winrar not extracting properly and some files were 0kb in size and it took me a while to figure out what was wrong. Make sure files are the right size or not 0kb. Stick to the guide.

So will the Download button automatically put the right files in the right folders if you put the AGFD.jar in the root of your SD Card?
why dont you try it ..you already have a backup of your nand backup, just format your card and try it.

Is there any file that should stay on my SD Card after I format? Is it as simple as:

Step 1:
Format SD Card!

Step 2:
Put AGFD.jar in the root of your SD Card.

Step 3:
Run AGFD.jar and make it download the required files for the "Installing arm9loaderhax" section.

Step 4:
Continue the guide like a boss!

EDIT: Is the only way to get an unrecoverable brick by putting a New 3DS in sleep mode on firmware 2.1.0?

Yes, it should do!
Please check though, if it doesn't then report that to me so I can fix it. I think some files will end up on your C drive because I didn't do relative paths properly. If you spot that let me know.
The torrents might not necessarily work - they work fine for me in Windows 8 64 bit but they failed for @Olmectron on Windows 10 64 bit. Again, if you try it, let me know if anything wrong happens.

I didn't work for me and i am using Windows 10 64 bit just like @Olmectron. I'm not seeing any extra files on the C drive. The downloading window is stuck at aeskey.bin everytime i press the Download button.

Reading through this forum hurts my head.

That aside, I checked your current SD, and it seems to be okay. Has anyone tried checking the SD aside with theirs (placing their sd folder on the side then the OP's) ??
If I get a chance I'll see if that uncovers anything, I'll probably edit this post if I do find anything, when i'm able to.

Apart from that, I honestly can't suggest anything :S
