So, the infamous dynarec can be talked about again?

Aliaspider not willing to code it doesn't mean any other developer would be interested on doing it. As i always say, Retroarch wasn't a possibility either and here we are, it's just a matter of time and patience.

I've never done any dynarec programming, so I couldn't even do it if I tried. I'd have to read a lot about it to even know where to really start. I kind of understand how it works, but haven't really ever done it. This is another problem with getting any developer to work on it. Also, any developer would have to be really interested to even start on it. Personally, I'd like to learn about it more, just so I could do it for the N64 emulator, but I would never even bother with PSX stuff. No interest in that at all.

I'm thinking that the only way it's going to happen, especially for PSX, is someone is going to have to try it on their own.

still hopping uou atleast prot the sdl so we can have old pc cores from retroarch :P

Guys, you have to remember that the nightly compilations are made by the buildbot, not by the guys themselves.
The buildbot simply grabs the Makefile and does whatever the Makefile has in there, some cores working or not working as expected is just compiled due to the buildbot.

You are right it has not worked from day one why they keep including it in the nightlies without fixing it I don't know
So the NeoGeo Pocket emulator has never worked? Is it this one - http://wiiubru.com/appstore/#/app/mednafen_ngp_libretro

If so, I am removing it from the appstore, there is no reason to have non-working cores on the appstore.

We don't always have a chance to test all of the emulators on the appstore, so we need feedback on ones that don't work, so they can be removed, or replaced with working versions.

Yes it has never worked sadly

We don't even have the virtualjaguar core on the appstore, because it runs so slowly. We really rely on user input, so we can keep the appstore clean with only things that run well.

BTW, we are working on a way to implement the new change of having the cores in the cores directory. This means HBAS will need updating, although I may be making a new app to take care of just libretro cores and help you keep them up to date.

I'll believe it when I see it, unfortunately, a dynarec core will be extremely difficult and time-consuming, if it even happens at all. Unfortunately, WiiSX is all the Wii U will ever have.

Optimism at its finest, huh?

Wii U will never have a Retroarch version

o3DS will never have a full speed SNES emulator

Wii is not powerful enough to have a working PSX emulator

And so on.

I've seen so many pessimistic assertions about homebrew, ALL crushed. I have no reason to think that the Dynarec will never happen.

I just don't know anymore, I mean, who here is interested in programming a dynarec, that's what I want to know, you know? I'm not trying to be pessimistic, I just haven't seen anything happen with the PSX core, that's all  Not saying the Wii U is incapable, but the no. of people who are interested is what worries me.

I strongly agree. I remember in the past when some famous devs said the Wii U is never going to have a homebrew launcher and that the best thing we could hope for was a browser exploit...

it's the fact that we could've had it so much more if derrek cared for the wiiu. Have you even read his twitter bio? "I like my 3DS :) | The WiiU is okay.... :P" Pretty much sums up this entire scene

They even found a bug perhaps but didn't even bother looking into it. It's stuff like this that could maybe get us boot0 but they don't care enough.
