Yeah, the obvious things, which is why I said a procedural check. So the banning of last week was obvious items, impossible 'mon, shiny-locked 'mon, etc. I mean for the future bans; we know how long it took for the early cia of Moon to lead to a ban and even that wave wasn't just one wave, so how will we know there won't be a harder crackdown?

Well I give up. Tried everything. But with PKHex its not possible to Unban a Save file. Hopefully someone will find a way
Changing the SyncID to all zeros do nothing
Changing the Trainer Info and changing the SyncID to all Zeros do nothing
Creating a new SyncID with other Save and using it in the banned Save do nothing

Things that I noticed(Sorry if this is already known)
*The SyncID that game gives you is nothe same that appear in PKHex
*In the Trainer Passport theres an ID that doesnt appear on PKHex

I did this and I can play now

@H1B1Esquire Yeah, I think they even check flags and number of apricorn balls. Good thing is (afaik), you only get banned if you use Game Sync; you're safe if you only use normal internet connection.

No, they're not banning for trading hacked mons. They're banning people who use ram-edited games to use infinite Z-moves, and people who check shiny Magearna or Marshadow. People who do extremely obvious things.

What do you mean with "ram-edited"? Does it include NTR Plugins such as SUMOHax (thanks Red)?

They don't care at all if you use NTR offline...

I don't think apricorn balls is a flag. I have 900 of each as well as beast balls, and haven't been banned. I do not have any cherish balls though. Last gen I had 900 of every ball including cherish balls and master balls, and I never got banned.

I did go online in the one I do online competitions in, genning up a team for the Alola Friendly, nothing happened. It's really incidental that the bulk of my hacking requests come from a game that never set up Game Sync. I never did because I already did twice, with one copy of Sun and Moon on the same GL account. I figure you have to make another one, not knowing if they allow multiple copies of a game to register under one account. Too lazy to find out, and now basically it's the golden goose that can lay as many eggs without interference.

I am curious though about the GTS mission, since a lot of my requests are GTS based. If I tried to basically cheat my way through that mission on a proper game synced save, will that trigger a ban? I was using GTS like crazy with this game synced save the first couple weeks of release and nothing happened. The first banwave had to be them accumulating culprits since release day, so I could've been picked up, but wasn't. I'm not sure, and really I don't care that much about Festival Plaza stuff. They should do a Wonder Trade mission, it's easy to pile up on breedjects and send them on over without hacking at all, or go on a catching spree, same thing.

NTR hooks the game's memory and changes values, so yes; NTR [plugins] is "Ram editing".

The bans, so far (from reading here) are a combination of factors. Items marked in Red have been reported to cause bans. Items in Green are safe. Blue items are weird ones. These have been reported so far, so may change/be updated as time goes on.

If you have NOT used the "Game Sync" feature (if you have to ask how to do it, or what it is - you haven't used it), you are SAFE to do these (yes, even the Red ones).

If you HAVE game-sync'd, then doing these will result in a ban if item marked Red! Currently, it is yet to be reported if doing these things THEN game syncing causes a ban.

Reported to cause bans:

• Having Shiny pokemon which don't exist naturally (i.e Marshadow or a shiny legendary which cannot exist).
• Having unreleased Pokemon registered in your Dex (i.e Marshadow).
• Swapping/modifying OT/ID.
• Swapping genders.
• Having unreleased items such as unreleased Mega stones (Beedrillite etc).
• Using a "complete Dex" option, which completes the National Dex instantly.
• Having "mismatched" currency - i.e you have 500 BP, but you've only 'earned' 10.

Reported safe:

• Adding all clothes.
• 'Generating' legal pokemon through PKHex.
• Running NTR plugins for game effects (such as setting run speed, or instant capture) -- NOT APPLICABLE IF YOU DO ANY OF THE RED OPTIONS ABOVE HOWEVER (YOU'LL GET CAUGHT)!)

Weird exceptions:

• x999 items - ONLY the case if it contains items which are either unreleased, amount gated or don't exist outwith modding (i.e safari balls (which don't exist outside of modding) and more than x amount of pokeballs which are limited supply you get from story progression). Use at your own risk!

I suppose it's a chance for a ban if you edit BP and items which doesn't guarantee a soft ban because it might be harder to trace. I figured that I would report my situation since it's a bit different from some of the others. While I was completing my pokedex I was link traded a shiny solgaleo and traded it back. I managed to get a legit solgaleo but I have both registeres pokedex entries. I haven't been banned for it. I was able to join the latest event. Maybe the dex entries are only flagged if the pokemon has your specific information? Also I noticed that in pokebank it now shows how many pokemon you've caught, breed, fished, traded, and evolved. Could inconsistencies between that information and the pokedex entries be triggers for bans.

Oops, I didn't clarify. I'm aware that this soft ban doesn't lock you from using the GTS. I was able to register to the current global event and enter battle spot without getting the soft ban error. I suppose if I do get ban by the system due to Powersave usage, I'll get the error when my save is synced when attempting to connect to GTS.

It's not a big deal. I'm waiting for the Pokemon switch game to hit shelves soon. That game will be cheat free while I keep Moon for some Powersave shenanigans.

Did you do that while gamesynced or after gamesync? Or have you not set gamesync at all?

I had set Game Sync before using that cheat. After using that cheat I have synced multiple times

Since when do you do this? Cause since bank is up, that's a legit way to get BPs, so now they aren't using that counter as a flag for piracy.
