I don't know if that's the case in other countries, but here in France we've seen a massive drop in the pre-order price of the Switch. The original price was exactly of €329 (~$353) everywhere. But since one week everyone is racing for the lowest price, so we've seen at start €319 (~$342), then €309 (~$331) and now the best price is €289 (~$310)... What do you think about that and have you seen a similar decrease in other countries?

Here, in spain, it started at 329€, cheapest i've seen now is 319€ so, it's not a big price drop, but there's still 1+ month

Here in Chile we see something similar,
the first shop publish their price at 350.000 CLP (~530USD) (oficial nintendo chile distribution)
after, another shop publish their price at 330.000 CLP (~500USD) (direct USA importer)
after, another one publish at 300.000 CLP (~455 USD) (direct EU importer)

the 455USD option is the most "valid" here, we use to buy technology at 1USD = 1000 CLP conversion (real conversion ATM is 1USD = 660 CLP)

Ouch, the currency conversions are bad everywhere :p Every single manufacturer/company/whatever applies a 1EUR=1USD conversion rate. Now that's not to bad since the euro dropped and is worth 1.05-1.15USD since 2015, but several years ago it was a pain in the ass when €1 was worth $1.4-1.5 and we still had to pay 250 for a Wii :p If we converted the price correctly it would give us a base price of €280.5 for the Switch...

Fucking Microplay

The most I´ve seen here in TacoLand is 8 thousand pesos, and im too lazy to convert lmao

Sounds to me like retailers were initially trying to gouge customers there, then realized they'd have to set the price right in order to get people to pre-order.
And keep the preorders. It's not going to take people long to realize that they can import a Switch for far less, then cancel their preoders.

Here the people already is seen the posibility of importing, near the 400 USD
