On a side note... @Rhys I havent' done anything different, but I only seem to be getting 1 streetpass a day. I'm not getting any error messages, And I can get streetpasses over Wifi ot LAN. Any suggestions would be great.

Edit:
The last 2 days I haven't gotten ANY streetpasses.

Anyone know of any working MACs?

Re-edit:
Of course after I posted this, the street passes are flying in now.

Hi! i'm having one problem.
I'm using NBAHomePass 2.1.0
It works fine for a while, sometimes 2minutes, sometime 10minutes. Then, suddenly stops with "adapter takes too long time to connect to the internet". What is the problem?
Windows 10 here
Sometims Virtual Router Manager just CRASH... what could be?
And sorry for my english.

Hello,

I recently started trying to do this and when I use nzone.exe I get the msxml3.dll error. I tried changing my language and using NBAHomePass.exe instead but neither have worked. Is there any way I can fix the mxsml3.dll bug?

Ohhhh, man. I had to Google SO much to find a solution to this. And it wasn't just with this. I was other items I kept getting this error.
The easiest and quickest solution... re-formating your system, then upgrading to the latest version. F.x. Windows 7: service pack 1.
There are other solutions that have worked for other people, but not every solution works and certain solutions create other error codes.

Hi everyone, I don't post here regularly, but I've recently been trying to get Homepass working.

I followed RhyzHomepass tutorial, though I'm having a few problems with it.

First off, I can't figure out how to have a BSSID corresponding to my MAC address.
When I change my MAC address to 4E 53 50 4F 4F 50, the BSSID has the first 2 digits changed to "6E".
I tried changing the MAC address with the one given on the pages following Rhyz's original post, but they won't work neither.

Also, I think I've done everything right, but I can't connect to NZ@McD (though I had been able to connect to 3DS_Test network with the "3DS_Test" key.
I don't know if there's any key to enter while configuring this network on the 3DS, but if I set the key to "none", the connection test fails before reaching access point.

I would be grateful if anyone could help me.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: For your info, I'm running Windows 10 and a 11.2 3DS with A9LH and Luma

EDIT2: Okay, so I've finally succeeded using the following tutorial :
https://www.reddit.com/r/3DS/comments/5n10oh/how_to_trick_your_3ds_into_getting_streetpasses/
Combined with a quick google search which solved my problem :

You have yours working correctly now with changing MAC Address? Also there is no need to connect to NZ@McD through your 3DS internet settings, the 3DS will connect to it automatically if it is within range.

@Rhys, got any tips, my BSSID isnt changing at all.

Weird, was it working before and has it just stopped changing suddenly?

I think I figured it out. For some reason, my LAN can't change, but my WAN can change. Not sure why. I got the system to work at my inlaws. I got over 200 streetpasses, I just kept dumping them into the que. I'll have to try my router at home again, when I get back tonight.

Do you mean like your Ethernet connection and Wireless Connections? Ethernet won't change your BSSID when your sharing internet as it's using the wireless card to create the wireless network, so you have to change the wireless cards.

oh. I know. Could put my shared Internet as either last week and it would change depending on the commands. Local access or wireless....
But for some reason the ether net just stopped.
I may have figured it out though,by accident. So I can't really say what I did.

Edit: @Rhyz I have something new, and I want to know if you (or anyone else) has encountered it.
So at home these past few days, I get streetpasses, but most of them are from about the same 7 people.
While at my inlaws over the weekend, I got A LOT of streetpasses. From all over the world.
Time length from MAC changes doesn't make a difference.

Yeah, there doesn't seem to be many people using Homepass with the SSID NZ@McD1 (mainly Windows users, idk if there is one more popular which people that has a passcode), which is probably why you would be getting streetpasses. It is very possible to use MAC Addresses from actual Nintendo Zones out there and get streetpasses from these and people who do use these for streetpassing which would provide a much wider range of streetpasses and I have done this successfully but I don't know if this is something that seems right to do.

"Nintendo_Zone1" with the Primary MAC worked best for me before I started using an actual Zone. Of course you get the same people many times and have to change the MAC, but... For some Streetpass Plaza games it is better to have the same Mii you met 8 times or more :-)

@Rhyz: I think it depends on what you want to do with Streetpass. I want to meet primarily Miis from my old home in the UK. So I spoof a Zone from GAME UK where I am from. Evebn got some people I know of old.

@Bambamthepyro: If you use a Homepass relay you get more and different people on a weekend than on a weekday. Opposite to an actual zone.

Kirky

What method are you using? I'm using Rhyzes method. But I am willing to try others. Like F.ex. While using RhysHomePass, The SSID is automatically NZ@McD. However, I know other people have said they use Nintendo_Zone1, attwifi, GAME, etc...
I just can't figure out how to do that stuff without clear step by step details.

@Bambamthepyro: While using Nintendo_Zone1 I'm using an old Netgear Router with DD-WRT and a script to cycle the MACs which runs from Cron.
For the GAME UK Zone I'm using a single MAC From GAME UK.

Spoofing a real Zone is much more complicated, because you need the WPA2 Password for this Zone. Since these are like the Slotkeys they will not be shared anywhere (Not even via PM, so don't bother asking...)

RhysHomePass is much, much easier to setup and to use.

Kirky

I guess it does, I think that people who use Homepass are just after Streetpasses and it can become boring when you just pass the same people over and over.

I would be happy to implement these other SSID's but I don't know how much they are even used, and real popular ones can't be used on Windows like attwifi.

@Bambamthepyro: Have you tried to connect to your NZ@McD with another device like your phone or a laptop, to check if they get an internet connection?

Regards,

Kirky
I just tried it. Not only, did it not connect; but not my phone says NZ@McD is out of range.

Edit: Ok connected on my phone, But, nothing it happening. I can't connect to the chrome, f. ex. And Still getting a 003-2103 error on my 3DS.
