Hello, my name is Nathan. And like most others posting topics here, I'm in a bit of a bind.

I'm new to the modding and hacking scene. This is my first attempt, and I was using the https://3ds.guide to go through the paces. While there initially some confusion, I got through those problems and have manged to solve them. Except for one.

I'm currently on the step of installing arm9loaderhax. The problem I had during it doesn't seem to have a solution laid out by the guide. I put in the url it handed me in the guide, which is http://dukesrg.github.io/2xrsa.html?arm11.bin. But when it goes to the page, all I get is a white screen, a single screen glitch after around a second, and a freeze a few seconds after that. The buttons work for a few seconds, but after the freeze they have no effect and I have to restart the system.

I've tried seeing if I ended up installing it anyway, figuring that the white screen was just obstructing my view. No dice. Even when I hold select before turning on the system, the Luma3DS menu never comes up. Just the standard HOME menu. And the custom bin file never pops up in the a9lh file as it's supposed to.

I figured that maybe I was receiving an error and just didn't know it, so I initialized the save data for my browser as well. Still nothing. The problems keeps coming up. I even tried doing it both with a game cartridge in the slot and without it. And as suspected it would it did nothing.

I scanned over previous steps in the previous pages of the guide and it seems I've taken every step without accidentally skipping over one. Am I missing something? Something that's supposed to be extremely obvious, maybe?

did you try pressing select on white screen and the waiting for a minute , shutting down console and then looking for otp.bin in files9 folder of mcirosd?
No dice. My SD and Micro SD are built to share the same storage, so I looked and found nothing on the Micro SD either.

Yes, of course. And it's clear my 3DS is receiving a good signal, since the Browser's home page comes up quite quickly with all of it's Sun and Moon adverts and whatnot.

Is could be that the homebrew that your trying to launch isnt starting as it should. In the old guide it stated that you had to try maybe 10-15 times for a certain program to run. Not sure what it says now.

It said to try it a few times, I've tried about ten times with my current set-up. Maybe I'm just unlucky. Luma3DS sounds like a worthwhile CFW, but boy setting it up sure is tedious.

A9LH and Luma3DS are definitely worthwhile. Redo the steps in the Installing A9LH guide.

you sure you have the 3 files arm9.bin, arm11.bin and SafeA9LHinstaller.dat on the sd root? Else I can't think of other reason that makes you stuck at this step. I have installed A9LH on no less than 20 consoles with no such trouble. It always works on the first try tbh.

For the post above, not START but SELECT ...

It says to press Select, and I already tried that. It's not that I get get a glitched screen, it's that I get a blank loading page, a single glitched frame, and then it goes back to a blank page before freezing.
I've never heard of that issue...

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Just press select and wait a Minute,it should reboot after that.

Or check If you really have the right arm11.bin

Wish things happened that quickly for me. At any rate, yeah. I have all of them on there.
