I heard if you install dlc from a cia it'll work up until you open the eshop? Does the 3ds just delete the dlc straight off the sd card or does it just make it unusable?
So for example, If I get dlc for Fire Emblem Fates such as the Revelations path and open up eshop, It will delete all 500mb of that dlc right?it deletes the data that makes it work but not the ticket or data so you have to reinstall it again

Well I doubt it honestly because I download updates from my eshop, yet my sm4sh dlc is always untouched.I heard if you install dlc from a cia it'll work up until you open the eshop? Does the 3ds just delete the dlc straight off the sd card or does it just make it unusable?
if you open up the eshop, it won't delete the data, it will just make the data (or ticket i forgot) invalid. making you reinstall it again so you just have 500mb of junkSo for example, If I get dlc for Fire Emblem Fates such as the Revelations path and open up eshop, It will delete all 500mb of that dlc right?
do you also legally own said dlc . . .?Well I doubt it honestly because I download updates from my eshop, yet my sm4sh dlc is always untouched.
But this could be due to the fact that I use a9lh and emunand
But I did read in cfw's early days that the eshop auto removed/broke anything that wasn't legit
No. Who pays for extra characters and maps in smash anymore :/do you also legally own said dlc . . .?
people who want to see the series thrive . . . but if you dont own them and they are not removed by the eshop then consider yourselfNo. Who pays for extra characters and maps in smash anymore :/
Freeshop for games/dlc, eshop for updates.
Actually I think it might have something to do with my emunand.people who want to see the series thrive . . . but if you dont own them and they are not removed by the eshop then consider yourselfluckyunique
no emunand is simply put an emulated 1-1 copy of sysnand . . . your cfw (likely luma) applies patches so if it were anything it would be your cfwActually I think it might have something to do with my emunand.
Doesn't it patch out most legality checks for anything?
noWell shit lol, I reinstalled fates dlc twice because first time was me downloading shit from freeshop right after hacking my 3ds. I found out about the save transfer tool and transferred my saves to their digital versions so I can sell my physical carts but because of it checking online for updates, it broke my dlc making me reinstall fates dlc again. Does this mean I have to instances of fates dlc on my sd card?
your not special at all, mines doesn't get removed.Actually I think it might have something to do with my emunand.

Check system settings, and go on to dlc section. If so, is there a way I can delete that because I had dlc for Persona Q i decided not to install a second time.
--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------
Because My sd card feels like it has shit on it when it Shouldn't
Lmao didn't say I was, I was wondering if the fact that I was using emunand had something to do with it.no
your not special at all, mines doesn't get removed.
Seems legit. So I guess emunand isn't the reason...no emunand is simply put an emulated 1-1 copy of sysnand . . . your cfw (likely luma) applies patches so if it were anything it would be your cfw
It's because you've never opened the DLC shop for Sm4sh. It seems like once you open the DLC shop for a game something is stored on the server side, which is checked against your installed DLC every time you open the eShop. If you've never opened the DLC shop for a game, it has nothing to check your installed DLC against, so it doesn't get deleted.Well I doubt it honestly because I download updates from my eshop, yet my sm4sh dlc is always untouched.

Just don't open the DLC shop for any game you have installed DLC for or are planning to install DLC for and you'll be fine.So for example, If I get dlc for Fire Emblem Fates such as the Revelations path and open up eshop, It will delete all 500mb of that dlc right?
