Hacking Safehax (11.1/2) downgrade without DSIWare

Do NDS flashcarts work for this "retail cart needed" thing?
I'm planning to A9LH a friend's 3DS, and I don't believe he has a cart,

So, can i just download safehax from this thread and use it on 11.2? OLD 3DS

Trying on N3DS 11.0.0-33E with Soundhax/waithax/safehax but I can't get into Decrypt9.
Everytime I choose it I get a black screen and I have to reboot and try again (another hour, sometimes half-hour)
I tried putting a standard DS cartridge in but it's the same thing.
No 3DS cartridges around atm.
Any suggestions?

I was actually shaking when I was in Decrypt9 LOL. "enter left up right up a" part. 3DS CFW is waaaaaaaaay different than PSP CFW. XD

Obviously I just choose the one for my unit_region right?

i finally was able to get through the hax install and got luma running.. now right now, the only some games on my menu not all of them. how do i restore the games that are on my sd card so they appear in the menu again without losing my save data?

Yeah, you don't need anything but the one for your 3ds. Anyway, Hourglass9 automatically chooses the right one, and since you wont need those files later, you can just copy paste and delete them later on.

Ok so I have a question, while waiting for fasthax for my O3DS 11.2, after realizing that my 4GB SD card would not be enough, I bought me a 32GB one, but it's a Micro SD with a adapter, do they work fine for the downgrading process?

Dang, fourth time on waithax 11.0.0-33E and it just won't load decrypt9.
I'm leaning towards updating to 12.0 and doing what strongal said.
Any other opinions?
Would that work or should I wait for fasthax on 11.0?

Achieved that status after 1 successful a9lh installation. Sure, I studied a9lh during 5 months before that, but still.
