Resident Evil Revelations

1.4.17 - 1h 6m
2.4.4 - 1h 50m

That's a pretty huge difference. Any chance FBI will get the old pre 2.x protocol re-implemented? It's been slow as molasses for quite some time now.

The pre-2.x protocol and the post-2.x protocol transferred file data in exactly the same way.

where is network install now?? in newer version doesnt appear

FBI v2.4.3 has been released.
  • Add waithax support. (untested)
  • Add action to delete unused tickets.
  • Add loading screens to multi-file operations.
  • Check if FBI already has service access before executing kernel exploits.
  • Delete existing file instead of overwriting when pasting. Fixes pasting into extdata.
  • Improve title destination detection.
  • Replace network installation with utility for generating a QR code to serve CIA files over local HTTP.
  • Fix delete action use-after-free.
  • Fix performing actions in current directory after renaming it.

If that's the case, why does SocketPunch have an option to use either Legacy Mode or Newest Mode... and why the drastic decrease in speed ever since 2.x? Sorry man, I just can't believe that. Everyone who uses FBI has experienced the massive slowdown since 2.x. It's quite obvious something changed in the way data is being sent.

so te only way to network intall is by qr????? plz restore old network install

QR is really no different than "Network Install". Install Python, "pip install" the other things mentioned in the readme file via command prompt, then it's a simple drag and drop to get the QR code. What we need is a fix once and for all for the crummy speeds since 2.x. Love FBI but this seriously needs a fix.

i dont know how phyton work , and always have some problems with it . so , if this is the way, i would transfer the archives by FTP and install in the SD later. (or back to old versions...)

Greetings

well i must agree that the old network install was atleast for some of us plebs easier than having to install python wich we would otherwise not use and then generate a QR imace to scan when the socketpunch jawa app worked wonders

What speed? Everything that I do with FBI works like a charm.

I thought it was a pretty well known fact that network installs with 2.x versions are a great deal slower than they were on 1.4.17. For an example Re: Revelations took nearly 2 hours to install on 2.4.4 vs. an hour with 1.4.17. Sure you may not have any hiccups... but it's slow as molasses. Install the version recommended in the OP of the SocketPunch thread & see for yourself.

Here's a pack with all the necessary files along with a readme on how to install. Takes no more than 30-60 seconds after Python is installed and is only a one time deal. After that it's just drag and drop. :)
