I was following iAqua's guide here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-setup-cfw-w-haxchi-and-coldboothax.446818/ and went as far as installing the actual RedNAND. I already have successfully installed Haxchi to my home menu which linked directly to my Homebrew Launcher. I then installed Mocha CFW from the Homebrew Appstore as per the guide, ran it, turned on "RedNAND" (could not find autoboot option although the guide mentions it) and pressed install. It then formatted my SD Card, and afterwards brought me to my home menu (RedNAND? Don't know how to tell the difference yet). After this however, I placed all files back onto my SD Card, and now I am unable to access the homebrew launcher from Haxchi. The screen freezes on a black screen with the number "-3" in the top right corner...anything I can do to fix this?

Also, When I try loading Homebrew Launcher via web exploit, I get the message "FSMountSource Failed"

Here's what to do, delete config.ini from mochas folder inside of apps. reconfig and boot up, that fixed the same thing for me.

What do you mean by "reconfig"? Do you mean once again format the SD Card within Mocha and dump the SysNAND?

Had this problem many times. Simply placed sd card back into computer and then removed/unmounted sd card again and this solves it for me.
THank you, that did solve it for me. Unfortunately now, when attempting to install wupinstaller as per the guide on RedNAND, I receive Error: install error code 0xFFFBF440. Not sure why I have the wupinstaller.elf, meta and icon in the SD Card Root/wiiu/apps/wupinstaller. Am I doing something wrong?

From FlimFlam69's tutorial here:

"I get this error in WUP Installer: 0xFFFBF440. What does this mean?

The answer to this is unclear at the moment. Modify the originally obtained ticket again, and redownload the game from NUSGrabber. This has been reported to work, even after several attempts."

Yeah I saw this too as I was googling the error, but I'm not attempting to get a game, I'm attempting to install wupinstaller on my RedNAND...

Sorry I must've been unclear, I'm following the guide in the link in the opening post, and attempting to install wupinstaller via the homebrew launcher. The screen opens, saying "press A to install on NAND" so I press A and that's when this error appears

what exactly are you trying to install with wupinstaller though? im guessing sysconfigtool? try redownloading it. if the download link has an md5sum or similar, check it to see if it downloaded right

Hmm? Perhaps I misunderstood the guide, is wupinstaller just a homebrew app that is opened via homebrew launcher? I thought it was actually installing wupinstaller onto the NAND. in the case that it's just an app, yes I am attempting to install sysconfig. I'll attempt to redownload it and try again. One thing I did find strange is that the sysconfig was named "sysconfigP01" does this mean there is a part 2 or higher?

Edit: redownloaded sysconfig but still no luck

Yes, wupinstaller is just an app. To install sysconfig tool, you should:
  • Create a folder named install on the root of your sd card and copy the contents of sysconfigtool into it.
  • Boot up your redNAND and run the homebrew launcher.
  • Choose wupinstaller and then hit “A”. It’ll install.
Don't mind me asking, but what do you need sysconfig tool for? What do you intend to do with it? It's just that it is not relevant for the average user, if you only want to play games, install updates, etc, you don't need it. Also, do not install it on NAND it is quite dangerous :\ only install it on redNAND.

Your instructions are exactly what I am doing. I am within RedNAND, opening The Homebrew Launcher via Haxchi, selecting the wupinstaller. Then a baclk screen loads stating to press A to install onto NAND. This is where I get stuck - I press A and receive the above mentioned error. I have wupinstaller within the SDCardRoot/wiiu/apps/wupinstaller (the wupinstaller.elf, meta and icon). I also have the sysconfigtoolp01 extracted to SDCardRoot/install. I'm not sure why it isn't working.

And say what? You don't need it to install games, game updates and DLC? I was just attempting to install it as the guide states to do so. I believed I had to in order to get this running properly.

Nope. You don't need sysconfigtool. If all you want is games, DLC, updates, etc, forget about it. Just go here:

https://github.com/FlimFlam69/WiiUTutorial/wiki/6:-Brazilian-Title-Install-Method

And download the WUPinstaller Mod:

https://github.com/Yardape8000/wupinstaller/releases

Use uTikDownloadHelper. Set it up properly, search for the game you want for. It downloads it directly from Nintendo in the correct format. Copy the game into SDROOT:\install\. You can actually copy multiple games / updates, just make sure each is on its separate folder, like this:

SDROOT:\install\awesomeGame1
SDROOT:\install\awesomeGameUpdate
SDROOT:\install\awesomeGameDLC
SDROOT:\install\lessAwesomeGame

Use the WUPinstaller Mod. Select what you want to install (the folders should appear on its menu, just use the DPAD and select what you want, it should become marked with a '*'.

Let it install and presto!

Oh man!! Thanks so much for this information, you are amazing! Although I'm curious why iAqua mentioned in his guide to install sysconfigtool then if it wasnt required. There was no place stating its purpose or that it wasn't necessary...I will try these tools later tonight as unfortunately I'm about to leave for work.

Thank you again!!

After reading this guide, it states that the games would be played off of a USB HDD. I actually would need to play the games off an SD Card, not a USB. Is that still possible following this guide?

Yes, it is possible. You need to use an alternative method of booting games, called Loadiine:

https://gbatemp.net/threads/loadiine-gx2.413823/

The best way of doing this is to copy loadiine to your SD card and costumize your Haxchi config.txt file to boot loadiine when you press a certain button. For example, you could set up SDROOT:\haxchi\config.txt as such:

a=wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf
b=
x=wiiu/apps/loadiineGx2/loadiine_gx2.elf
y=
default=wiiu/apps/mocha/mocha.elf

Now, whenever you keep the "x" button pressed when lauching haxchi, it will boot Loadiine GX2 (and you can press "a" to lauch HBL or just let it boot Mocha by default... or not, your choice). Keep in mind that running games from the SD card is... troublesome. Some games work fine, others suffer from bad load times. One prime example of this is The Wonderful 101, which can take up to 20 (!) minutes to load the initial menu from SD. If you install it through usb, it takes about 1 minute.

Loadiine compatbility list:

http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/Loadiine_compatibility_list

My advice is, forget the SD card. Just get a cheap USB stick, format it to Wii U standards and use that. All games work perfectly from USB, its just like you bought them from the eShop.
