@dimok Idk whether it's a bug or not. I've just upgraded Mocha 0.1 redNAND to 0.2 and it forces to format redNAND. It also breaks the redNAND partition itself because back to 0.1 won't detect redNAND on the SD and force to format.

No problem for me from 0.1 to 0.2

Hmm this is odd. I tried redNAND and it was working just fine for me. A fw.img is not required at all. If that happens can you check whats at offset 512-540 in bytes on your SD card?

Do you use the new sdio nand manager tool version to inject the nand to SD?

@dimok's : Can't boot the sysnand or rednand when we force mocha menu, it freze...

What do you mean force mocha menu? Holding B? It doesn't make any difference actually how you enter the menu. There are no addional changes when you enter the menu.
It doesn't happen if enter the menu the normal way?

I'm on default setting, just make "launch image" and "RedNAND" on ON. Nothing else and don't forget to delete the fw.img on your SD.

@dimok Since it is possible to avoid a full os relaunch, it should also be possible to use loadiine's function patcher to hook into some Espresso rpl function without loosing the hook, right? If that's true, I was thinking of trying to implement something like a plugin system for Mocha, where plugins are executed on the Espresso side and interact with /dev/iosuhax. Do you think it would be feasible?

I do use the new 1.2 sdio.

Booting redNAND using 0.1 flawlessly.

What I did
Delete config file and copy 0.2 over
Boot 0.2 > redNAND on > A > forces to format.
Restore 0.1 > redNAND on > A > forces to format.
Restore NANDs backup using sdio 1.2 > all images including seeprom & otp
Boot 0.1 > redNAND on > A > OK
Repeat upgrading to 0.2 and it's exactly the same issue.
