In need of help again.. :/

So I followed the dsi downgrade guide and did the system transfer. Everything worked just fine. So I went to the next part 9.2.0 downgrade.
I've read the part about having dsiware installed might cause a softbrick, but I forgot to uninstall...
When I've ran sysDowngrader I got an error, and had to boot in to recovery and update to 11.2 :/

I still have Jagged Alliance and was able to downgrade NFIRM again. Unfortunately I can't enter homebrew... Menuhax is not working, and steel diver just shows a message "an error has occurred". Browserhax not working also..

How can I do this without having to wait 7 days?
And if the only option is to systranfer again do I have do link NNID to my o3ds again?

Thanks

EDIT: I've remembered I have my o3ds with homebrew and Ocarina 3d, I've got OOT3DHAX to work :) Thanks :)

Ok, somewhat confused .... Done all this: https://3ds.guide/homebrew-launcher-(browser)

Ok so I'm running SysDowngrader, slightly nervewracking :\ Mainly as I have no desire to acquire a £170 brick. At which point do I install the Luma stuff?

And hey presto, one £170 brick. Can't boot into "anything" at all. The downgrader did a load of stuff and then went to the standard Nintendo error power off message. Power down after waiting 30 seconds and every time I switch on I just get a black screen, not exactly n00b proof is it?

Totally stuck.. I got as far running the SysDowngrader to go down to 9.2.whatever and well that's it really. I got the black Nintendo error message "power off bla bla bla" and did that. If I switch it on again and go to settings it says 9.2.whatever, but now what? Is it installed properly (I gather partial installations are not unusual) and when I try to go back and start again the Browserhax doesn't work anymore, just gives me after attempting to run for a few seconds:

You'll need an entrypoint different from browserhax with the proper *hax for your 9.2 system to be able to run the downgrader again

Not sure that you need to change it to 10.4. I just did this last night. Even though you downgraded NFIRM to 10.4 OoThax still works for 11.2 (11.0 in my case). I still used OoThax with same payload until I got a partial downgrade. I then had to change it to 9.2.

You should totally have a powersaves device if that is your only entrypoint. I'm pretty sure you can't use the sploit installer if your firmware is greater than 11.0. I did not know this and have only been able to change it with powersaves.

Try browserhax I guess?

How do I use the 11.0 payload instead of the 10.4? when I'm on homebrew the oothax installer only lets me choose up version 10.9

When i'm injecting three files(localfriendcodeseed, nnidsave, secure info) with decrypt9 into my banned 3ds(the localfriendcodeseed is from my unbanned 3ds), it tells me no usable files are found despite them being in the files9 folder. This is also strange since the Secureinfo one is the only one that worked. What can be the issue here? Is it because of my unbanned 3ds being on 9.2 while my banned one is 11.2?

I'm running 9.0 NAND and a fresh 9.0 emuNAND on my N3DS. I'm trying to install Gateway Fast-Boot and am running into problems with downgrading to 2.x. Using Gateway Time Machine I run the downgrade in emuNAND. It says it finished successfully and so I restart. But when I try to run the A9LH Installer in the Gateway Menus, an error pops up saying that my emuNAND is not running 2.x, and it shuts down.
Am I doing something wrong?

Reposting here, I feel like I might've posted the original in the wrong place.

Hm why does he need another entrypoint? Did he proceed with a partial install or did something wrong?
How could he fail?

Im asking since im about to use the guide aswell. Got a new 3ds xl 9.6 Got a sky3ds+ which i can return, some say I should just get a9lh and dump the sky and return it since I still can get my money back.

Although MAY there be future updates that bricks the device, especially the new 3ds? Since we havnt seen any exclusive New 3ds games yet (also PKMN SM that cant be played yet unless you have a gateway. The sky3ds team seeems to be working alot to get everything running. Will it ever be able to run on a a9lh device without any additional carts, also future games.

I also wonder if there can become ny complications in the future with new games, since the processor is different and we dont know yet how "new only" games will work?

Maye im overthinking it here, but I just wwant to make sure so i dont mess anything up during the a9lh. Even though im familiar with modding the wii nd other systems and have read the guidethoroughly 3 times now and i feel ready to make an attempt.

Any advice you guys can give me before I get started, any tip is greatly appriciate it!

Just want to be sure since im new in the 3ds scene.

finally was able to enter homebrew after a dsi transfer and downgraded to 10.4 but now that I'm checking the 3DSident it says that the kernel and firm versions are at 2.52-0 instead of 2.50-11. What do I need to do in order for it to show 2.50 instead? Thanks.

Wen you get a partial downgrade to 9.2, you probably won't be able to use browserhax because browserhax relies on various titles (like the browser, native_firm, etc) and a partial downgrade could downgrade some of them, messing up with the browserhax compatibility.

I think nintendo would need to release a new hardware revision if they want a9lh to be patched, which I think it's unlikely.
Refering to the sky3ds, that's very useful at least until you get a9lh + luma, because if you have a partial downgrade and you're not able to use browserhax, you can emulate some primary exploit to run homebrew, run the downgrader again and fully downgrade to 9.2.

If you follow the 3ds.guide step by step, a brick is very unlikely.
As for now, for example, pokemon sun and moon were released not long time ago and and they're almost fully hackable, so you should not worry too much.

I myself have an emunand + luma and have tested pokemon sun without any problem and any strange steps to follow

Thanks for the reply!

I havnt started the process yet. i just bought my first n3ds xl used, but fresh and came with pokemon x. :)(The guy had barely played on the device and had 9.6 fw.

Is it possible to extract the header and info so I can play online legit?

At the time I bought myself a sky3ds+ and a 64gb sd card right away, since ive been out of the gbatemp community for quite some time now. So I didnt stumble upon the a9lh scene and all it can provide until some days ago and has since read the 3ds.guide several times, preparing myself and getting myself up to speed so i dont mess up.

I bought the sky since it seemed like a great investment. Maybe it still is? Or will be in the future? (can still return it, got it for 98$.)

I´m not to sure how updates work though, especially the software updates for the games and the system update itself. do I use luma updater and other downloaders to do that? Or can I just do it manually as usual through the system update and the usual updates.

I havent played much yet since I dont want to play too much before I got it all set up, so I can have all the updates for the games and not having to start over on many games. (The save files are stored on the sky sd card in .sav format.

I´m just checking so I havnt gotten anything wrong so I can begin the process. :)

Thank you all for your support! =)

I think you can extract headers with decrypt9, but you need CFW (a custom firmware like luma) or a 9.2 system.
There is another one called braindump but I'm not sure if it can be used to extract private headers.

As for the updates, once you finished to setup a9hl + luma, you can update from system settings like normal.
You can also install game updates using freeshop, so at that point you could sell/return your sky3ds.
If you use cias, you do not have to worry about private headers either when you play online.

About the saves, if you manage to get an alternative entrypoint for homebrew besides your sky3ds or when you finished to setup a9lh + luma, you can use some homebrews to dump your sky3ds saves and inject it into your cia games

Having a Sky3DS can be very useful, as you can use it as an exploit game of any region. When you are finished setting up a9lh, you could keep it in case you want to mod other systems in the future, or return it if you're sure you'll have no further use for it.

Thanks again for a very fast response. :)
Wow little did I know how far the 3ds scene has come.

I think im basicly ready to get started now.
I just need to format m 64gb sd card ofc, any particular format or anything particular?
Got it formatted to fat32 with 64kb buffer size atm due to sky3ds+ needs it to run 64gb cards.

Fixed my issue. Apparently my Decrypt9 was oudated by like 8 months....
