If it was usable on the 3DS at some point it should be usable through Luma or any other recent CFW with TWL_FIRM patching.

Flashcarts that work on DSi will work with Luma's patches. my AceKard 2i and my Gateway Blue card both boot fine. older DS flashcarts that need a patched TWLFirm will not work. My AceKard 2i does not require Stage2 launcher or anything and boots from the home screen just fine.

Yes, it was usable on the 3ds so it should work. It is a R4i3DS just so you know. I am buying it just for now as it is cheap. I plan to get a new one eventually.

That should boot fine from the home menu and should not require Stage2 launcher or TWL Slot 1 Launcher to work.

What about Supercard DSTWO? I just tried using it from main menu, and the cart appeared as blank. When I launched it, the console did go into Nintendo DS mode, but both screens remained white and nothing ever happened?

@Distrance fetch the latest Eos and firm from Supercard's site place it on the root of the SD in the flashcard and use a old dsi or older device to update the card.

Apart from the battery drain it is fine

Battery drain only when it's in use I hope? I'd like to leave the flashcart inside the console. Thanks though, got it working now perfectly. Though damn do the DS games look blurry on a screen this big ..

Thanks lol but that doesn't really solve anything. I was merely just commenting how I'm disappointed how low resolution the games are in. The difference between a DSi and N3DS XL isn't THAT big but the blurriness is very significant. Means the games for DSi must have been developed basically for exactly that screen size and no more .. lame.

Nope. It'll drain the battery as long as it is in the slot. When not in use slightly eject it so it won't drain the battery.
