Hacking Got a new 3ds, move from old?

Correct, the guide is using SysNAND CFW. It's no point really today to use a RedNAND. You can freely upgrade your Sysnand to 11.2. Else you need to create a Rednand or emunand with Hourglass9 or Decrypt9.

Alright so I did the tut everyone keep giving me, installed Luma CFW...

Started to install my old pokemon sun save/cia on the system.

But I now realize the tutorial "https://3ds.guide/" does not mention an emunand at all!
So now I have everything working but Im on version 9.2 sysnand and cant run pokemon due to it requiring v11

Do I have to reformat my card and create an emunand? Does emunand even exist with this setup? (im used to using gateway logic)

I was scared to update and lose my progress so I made this post, thanks guys!

In settings does it say ver 9.2 or sys 9.2, if you're on sys 9.2 you can update your 3ds without worry if its ver 9.2, make sure you have hourglass 9/FBI etc... installed

It says "sys 9.2" guess ill update it now... Ugh updating is always scary

Nah, on N3DS is so much quicker!

EDIT: Oh and if you followed the guide, you should have a NAND Backup incase you wish to go back to 9.2 and do a Rednand

Yeah nah you'll be sweet, but as some1 mentioned above me - you can always restore your nand.bin to downgrade back to 9.2 (not sure why you would want to though)

You could use an EmuNAND if you want, but there's not much reason to.
If you got to this point, it seems like you're successful, so congrats! =D

One last thing, im trying to transfer my .sav files onto my .cia games...

Not sure how todo that and I couldnt find anything online about it, to make it clear im not trying to convert my .3ds to .cia rather im trying to just move over my save files from my old gateway

Thats what I thought, only thing is JKSM kinda sucks when restoring a shit ton of files at once
