Hacking Dsiware downgrade in 11.2.0-35E ?

You can't tranfer the Homebrew Loader CIA and it doesn't work unless you are already in a CFW. You need a legit entrypoint on a system to get it to that point.



Installing a DSiWare save requires ARM11 kernel access. There is currently no publicly released way to get that on 11.0+. JKSM from the Homebrew Launcher cannot modify a DSiWare save.

So I have a 4b4c4545.bin file on my 3ds. Is there anyway to open this file or extract it?

When doing the steps you system transfer the hacked 3ds to the unhacked 3ds. This means that the NNID will transfer or be erased.

Yes, however I believe that ctr-http is down right now which would make you need to ugrade your 3ds to 11.2

1) Simply No. To be a bit more precise: A NAND backup is encrypted with console specific keys ... therefore you can't transfer it on another 3ds/2ds without having the console specific keys to decrypt and re-encrypt it(I believe it even has some problems if you have the keys from both consoles) and because that 2ds is not hacked yet, you can't get the keys.
2)The current nnid on the 2ds will be unlinked ... however I believe you can relink it afterwards or you need to wait 1 week to transfer back to the o3ds and relink it after that.

Can somebody confirm all of this?

Yes, it will just be unlinked afterwards ... but it won't hurt the dsiware downgrade process at all.

1. correct but once both are hacked you can transfer the decrypted nand [ctr-nand]
2. think you need to remove the nnid on the 2ds before transferring - sure the guide has that covered

@Xiphiidae - what's the harm in this case of updating to 11.2? If system-transfering dsiware, whats the difference between 11.1 and 11.2?

If you mean whether you can downgrade a console that has an NNID - sorta. You have to format it first before it will let you transfer to it, so back up any saves if you can get homebrew on it before the transfer. You can sign back in to the NNID after the transfer though.

Don't tell people to update to 11.2 when they don't have to. Read the guide.

They can do it without updating of course but if you're on 11.2 you can forego ctrhttpwn essentially skipping a step, so seems like a no-brainer to me
