Hacking DsiWare Downgrade

Hey,

two questions:
1. Do i have to get the update for steel Diver?
2. I have Zelda on my Console and pretty sure it is from the eshop but not 100% sure.
How can i verify that?

2. OoT from the eShop won't help you get into homebrew, since you have to be able to get into homebrew already to inject the save. As a cartridge you have the option of using another console or a PowerSaves.

To clarify.
Source OLD 3DS: Zelda Four Swords Installed. (I am quite sure i got it from the eshop but i want to be 100% safe before everything else is pulled, can i just delete it and try to redownload to check that?)

I just deleted it and was able to redownload in the eshop .
So it should be all good

you can redownload fake games from the eshop too as long as the title key was correct (so that includes freeshop)

you could probably dump the ticket and verify that it has real info rather than zero'd console/NNID on the ticket

if you were transferring from a cfw console to a updated system you could inject the save prior to the system transfer you could use oot for your homebrew entrypoint on the updated system

yep i was reffering to Four Swords .
I was just preparing to downgrade my incoming new 3ds XL

yeah I was aware you were talking about the dsi game, so yeah the ticket info still applies,

but I also figured I might as well also clarify that oot trades can also be used as a transferable *hax entrypoint if someone happens to have it already too

Yep. Steelhax is suggested in the guide since it is free. But you can use any homebrew entrypoint you like.

Is this on target console? If yes, first dump the firm, then dowgrade.

If it's on Source, DO NOT DOWNGRADE or you will brick.

ya i dumped the firm and when trying to flash the10.4 nand i get the error about sdmc as seen in the pic i posted

Didn't saw the full image, sorry.

Make sure you have the files inside a "dgTool" folder on SD root:

1. Create a folder named dgTool on the root of the target 3DS’s SD card if it does not already exist
2. Copy the contents of the NFIRM zip to the dgTool folder on the root of the target 3DS’s SD card

yes i have everything set fine. i can tell you dont know the solution to the error so ill just switch sd cards as im guessing it an sd card error
