Hi! I hacked my n3DS a long time ago (January) and came back wanting to update everything so I could play Pokemon Sun and Moon. I started to follow plailect's guide and decided to skip up to the Decrypt9 step. Everything was fine until I went to installing arm9loaderhax and it instructed me to delete my old 3ds folder and insert the new one from the starter kit. I tried to open the homebrew launcher through Menuhax and realized that it didn't work anymore and Menuhax wouldn't launch.

I decided after this to go back to the beginning to try and install Menuhax from the beginning. This worked, but now whenever I boot up menuhax when I boot up my n3DS, it crashes. The top screen has the fuzzy image and the bottom screen is just black. Any tips on how I can get past this? Thanks!

EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I am on 9.2.0.20-U

I'm not sure what the issue is, but, while you're waiting for other replies, you can do the guide with just browserhax. It's just a little less stable (you'll probably have to try things many more times before they will work).

I will go ahead and try doing it thru browserhax for now. Thanks!

Since you deleted your folder, you also deleted menuhax files. Recreate the data by going into theme management in the home menu. Then reinstall memuhax

I already did that, but I just did what Quantumcat said and was able to install everything through browserhax. Thanks!
