Since we already have rednand do you think it's possible to burn WUDs (or backup our WiiU disks) in Blu-ray disks and play into rednand, or even play movies using homebrew?
No.Since we already have rednand do you think it's possible to burn WUDs (or backup our WiiU disks) in Blu-ray disks and play into rednand, or even play movies using homebrew?
Yep, just the Blu-ray part isn't possible. Movie playback sounds quite feasible.Pretty sure playing videos and listening to music is possible with homebrew. Not with discs though. Ofcourse a homebrew like that has still to be made.
What, really? Got a source? I'd definitely read up on this!the Wii U's disc drive spins backwards
I don't have an actual source, it's just what I've heard from others, and it'd make sense since the Wii was the same way. What, really? Got a source? I'd definitely read up on this!
And a source for Wii? All I could Google is just pure speculation.I don't have an actual source, it's just what I've heard from others, and it'd make sense since the Wii was the same way.
To most people the fact that homebrew exist is magicWhen will people understand that Homebrew doesn't mean fucking magic.
LOL no it doesn't and Wii didn't either, this info has been going around since Gamecube and it's just pure wrong.Part of the issue, I believe, is the fact that the Wii U's disc drive spins backwards, and, unlike the disc drives in the older Wiis, can't spin in the normal direction that other disc players do.
IF that is true, then how the Wii was able to read Gamecube discs? Google is telling me that gamecube-spins-backward thing is fake.Part of the issue, I believe, is the fact that the Wii U's disc drive spins backwards, and, unlike the disc drives in the older Wiis, can't spin in the normal direction that other disc players do.
USB Bluray readers, they are getting cheaper. And that is probably the near-full reason why we may never see a Blu-Ray player homebrew for the Wii U.
They don't spin backward what they actually do is read the disk from the outside track first where as conventional dvd/bluRay players read the disk from the inside track outwardsPart of the issue, I believe, is the fact that the Wii U's disc drive spins backwards, and, unlike the disc drives in the older Wiis, can't spin in the normal direction that other disc players do.
