So it happens, that among the 300 games I already installed, one of them is completely broken. I cannot delete it via Sysconfig tool, as the tool tells me there's a file system error. I'm also unable to delete this game via Data management of the Wii U console, it just tells me "cannot uninstall game".

I cannot overwrite this game, getting a 0xfffcffe5 error from WUP installer. I think I tried every possible method. still I want to get rid of this game and completely reinstall it to make it work.

Also when trying to start this game, the console just crashed with an USB error.

The game I'm talking about is Extreme Exorcism. Might it be possible to delete the game via wupclient and python if yes, please anybody out there being able to help me here? Or will I have to format my complete HDD, making me download 300 games again via NusDownloader.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Looking forward for your suggestions

I guess you just need to find the corresponding id of the game in USB with wupclient and delete the folder.

I never tried it so wait for a confirmation by someone else.

I had the same issue sort of with a legit vc game and I had to physically delete the ticket with wupclientgui. Only then would it allow me to reinstall the content without error. If you know the tltle ID of your game you should be able to find it in /usr/title/00050000/XXXXXXXX once you mount usb. the X's being the last of the title ID. I suspect if you delete this folder and the ticket that gets installed with the game you should be ok.

thanks for the great suggestion - I will try this one over the next days and will report back as soon as it worked!
No problem. Finding the correct corresponding ticket can be a pain though but hopefully you can reinstall it without actually having to delete the ticket with wupinstaller.

So I was partly able to resolve this issue. From the current point I do have 2 valid solutions how to be able to play this game again.

Via Wupclient I deleted all content within the corresponding game folder on my HDD. I was still unable to delete the data folder within content, stating the same error I get when trying to delete this game sysconfigtool.

Afterwards the system icon in the main menu turns to an question mark icon. I then went ahead and installed Extreme exorcism to the internal Wii U storage. The question mark icon box then changed back to exterme exorcism icon which can be lauchend normally from the main menu icon. This solution is fine for me.

Another solution would have been to installe extreme exorcism preview and then overwrite all the data of the preview title with the corresponding data of the main game. Anyway - that's not necessary anymore.
