Hey everyone,

Got a silly question but when is the best time to charge the 3ds?
I was reading online that partial charges is the best way for the batterys health,so in otherwords
charging the 3ds when its at 50% is better than waiting untill the red light comes on ..
I was wondering if this is true? Because if i wait till its at lets say 10% itll take rly long time to charge it back up.
How are you guys charging it?
Are you waiting untill red light?
Im curious hehe

I thought charging at 50 is bad for battery but i guess thats for older batteries and not li on? Im gona start charging it at 50% if its not bad because it litterly takes almost 4 hours to charge if its drained its anoyying how long it takes

I'm not too sure if it's detrimental, but I generally so what's most convenient for me, it really depends on the person in sure there are studies for both waiting to charge until battery is almost dead and the opposite that disprove each other.

On my phone I don't wait to charge and I think it uses the same battery technology as 3ds, and according to my system the battery capacity is still over 80% of original after about a year of just charging whenever

I only charge it when it starts blinking (<5%) and leave it to charge without playing until the orange indicator shuts down.

Any battery (lithium ion, lead acid, etc.) doesn't like extremes. (ie. fully charged and fully depleted). Keeping it in the mid-zone most of the time is best, if possible. If that's not possible, don't worry. What I would do is just make sure it doesn't get fully depleted too low too often. That's probably the most practical thing you can do.

When not using it for a long time, it's best to have the battery at about half-charge before putting it into storage. Though a small charge is recommended every 6-12 months if left in storage in order to prevent the battery going too low.
